  1. Watched a few Seinfeld episodes from season 2. Among them The Jacket which starred Lawrence Tierney who was great as a Elaine's father but turned to be too much to handle for the crew. With the result that what was supposed to be a recuring character turned out to be a only one time presence. According to the actors at some point he tried to steal a knife from the set and when confronted by Jerry Seinfeld he advanced towards him holding the knife over his head imitating the Psycho music. Did a few research about the now late Tierney found another story about him showing he was not an easy man to deal with especially late in life. http://www.eddiemull...om/tierney.html
  2. Here, we used to have sexy restaurants and sexy hairdressing salons where the ladies working would be wearing well as little clothing as possible. Why would you go to these places is beyond me,
  3. And our Champion is................................Noj :party::party: Congrats.
  4. By the way what have we decided if we end up with a tie. Once the 1 pm games will be played, we will who's the champ Aggie can't catch him up so it will be to the longer shots to beat Noj
  5. Postal office in my neighborhood is in a drugstore, you show a few id cards with the shipping notice and they bring it up to the counter, rather efficient actually. Ideally you need someone at home to receive the package but it is still a nice alternative better than UPS. Weatherwise these are the first "real" winter days we had. For the most part weather was over the chilling point with about no snow.
  6. If you still have money to spend, here's a boxset that should be of interest, http://www.amazon.fr...ASIN=B005XBA9Y8 http://www.amazon.co...t/dp/B005XBA9Y8 Here's a complete tracklist http://www.deccaclas...low&UNBUYABLE=1 Either on Amazon UK or France it is about 115 $
  7. Had to pick up the Rubinstein and Berstein from the post office, man these are huge motherfuckers, The plastic bag that I had got ripped off so I had to carry these thing in my arms for a 15 minutes walk at -9 F weather with windchill. Fortunately the music will be worth it. Not recommended if you live in a small place.
  8. Just hope we have a clean winner, Here's my suggestion, it may be complicated to figure out but how about head on head results between the co leaders, the fellow that has won the most weeks in head to head matchups should be declared the winner. What I mean in case I'm not clear for every week of the pool you look at the week score and the player with the better result gets a win , the player that ends up with the most wins gets the edge. It should reward consistency.
  9. Reason more to stick playing the piano.
  10. Not found a link but Wikipedia seems to confirm, great loss indeed. RIP
  11. Started listening to them, very interesting indeed, feels like I'm in a time machine, on the other hand Audrey Williams singing
  12. Anybody ever a short film called Treevenge ? It's about a bunch of trees who get shopped down by a bunch of men looking to sell them for the Christmas season , concentration camp analogies are plenty, however when the trees finally end up in their final destination they endu p attacking the families who humiliated even more by putting ornaments on them and made them watch their celebrations. .http://www.treevenge.com/
  13. For those interested , if you buy this with the Bernstein on Amazon France, you get both of those mammoth sets for around 300 $ Invidually the Rubinstein is at 216 while the Bernstein is around 92 in US bucks.
  14. Wow, she recently retired from the scene, RIP indeed.
  15. We all know that about 99.9999999 % of Christmas music sucks instead of trying an another freakin' thread about the few ones that are listenable, how about throwing a curveball, let's talk about the music that generates the kinda feeling we're supposed to have while listening to this yuckfest , you know music that makes you feel happy , fuzzy and all warm inside and makes you want to cozy up and celebrate with the loved ones while listening to it. But let's find music that generates it without being marketed for Christmas. Here's one that for me fits the bill...

  17. An amazing player, a shame that he died so young.
  18. Englishman in NY (Sting) Je voudrais voir New York (Daniel Lavoie) New York avec toi (Téléphone) Wawukhona Yini E New York (Ladysmith Black Mambazo) New York USA (Serge Gainsbourg) I tried to avoid the obvious one now let's try Toronto, just kidding. Let's go with Holiday.
  19. The second line may be not necessary but I do like it, it helps detailing more what the thread is all about and gives the chane to the thread creator to editorialize his subject.Wish we can keep this one as long as possible.
  20. Maybe it's only here but I hear more coughing during a classical music concert than during rush hour in a medical clinic.
  21. Why is it surprising that popular searches include young, attractive females? Jennifer Aniston is 42 and Osama Bin Laden is dead 42 is quite young to me! And she is still quite attractive.
  22. Have no problem with that.
  23. Wow cool, me selfish, me want all of them !!!!!
  24. Not a great game IMO, LA was the only one who really tried to win, and they deservedly got the needed goal. Beckham can now say that he won three different national championship.
