  1. I used to trade jazz from behind the Iron Curtain with people from East Germany (DDR at these times). This one above and some stuff more from Poland, CSSR a. o. Also many bigbands. There was a living jazz scene in those eastern countries influenced by listening to the VOA with Willis Conover especially in Hungary.
  2. Yes its a real joy to listen to that relaxed swing of this group. A great fan here!
  3. Is this the original edition? Have one on the "Flyright" label.
  4. Dark Orchid 601-04018 - Sammy Nestico - rec. 1981 - Engineer: Stan Ross
  5. Nice! Have several CD's with that band. Not too often seen here.
  6. A great 2 LP set with top West Coast Jazz groups [FSR reissue 1985]
  7. Had a discussion at SHF about Fresh Sound and Gambit. IMHO Gambit is located in Andorra and Fresh Sound in Spain. For collectors no great difference but for the lawyers. BTW the very rare Bill Evans Concert at Bad Hönningen (I was among the selected guests for this private concert one the day before Evans birthday at the private house of architect Fritz Feltens) was also issued completely on Gambit (8 years after the concert was recorded at the private home by a mobile recording unit of german radio WDR) and in a shorter version (minus some tracks) on another (official) label.
  8. Looks like my copy at Discogs: https://www.discogs.com/release/8616156-Jim-Hall-Trio-Jim-Hall-Trio-The-Complete-Jazz-Guitar
  9. Is that the Gambit edition?
