  2. Yes its an interesting LP. After looking up his total output I was really astonished about the number of groups he was participating in and those issued under his name as leader. Cannot understand why he was not better nknown and mentioned in various forums.

  11. Ralph Burns was member of the early Woody Herman Band (see Capitol). Very well known is his composition "Summer Sequence" in 4 parts. Also co-writer of the famous composition "Early Autumn" featuring Stan Getz in Woodys band. This "Jazz Studio" series Vol 1 to 5 is a very fine series and highly recommended from my side. Have 3 Volumes.
