Yes indeed!!
There exists a fine series of vinyl albums from the japanese AUREX JAZZ FESTIVAL from the years 1980 to 1983 . Anybody familiar with that label?
Here is one of those vinyls (all with similar front cover). Sound quality excellent
👍
Small correction. I believe the recording date is 1983.
Thanks for the correction, John. As printed in the liners the date is really May 04, 1981 at Emerson High School Auditorioum. Emerson. New Jersey. ;-]]
Progressive PRO 7058 - Dick Meldonian-Sonny Igoe "The Jersey Swing Concerts" - rec. 1980-82 - Engineers: Fred Miller & Harry Munz
Now playing after reading Bill's message
Well I like the early Shearing & his quintet when I started collection in the 1960s. His Everest & most MGM recordings are here. He was a fine bebopper with a feeling for good melodies. Pete Rugulo did an interesting composition "Rugolo meets Shearing" on a Mercury LP.
BTW I have 2 different 12" editions of "You're hearing George Shearing" (MGM E 3706 & MGM E 3216) and would like to see the tracks from the copy above. Is that a 10" edition?
Here are my 2 versions (with different tracks)

I know Roman Schwaller. Nice that you can see him live. I think I have him as member of some groups. Have to check that.
Have a question: did he ever record something under his name as group leader?
Question solved. Found some on Discogs.
