  1. That’s a really good box set, which I need to dig out again. I also have pretty well all (I think) of the Japanese pressing Nocturne series on LP. I think they were done by Toshiba. Congrats that is really good. Have the CD-box plus some vinyls as the Virgil Gonsalves LP and a Herbie Harper 5tet. Missing the Bud Shank LP among others.

  6. Have looked up the 1974 rating for "Street lady". Hopefully you can read the 2 added scans. As it turns out "Black Byrd" was not rated in DB and " Street Lady" received a 2 ** rating. Some references in the text were made to "Black Byrd" Thats all I found.

  15. Ah yes I see what you mean. The Fontana compilation could be indeed a european only edition but which I didnt have in the focus because I have some US editions (japanese replica reissues) with tracks from that compilation in my stock. Thanks for making it clear.
