  1. There is hope. Had ordered from an italian seller a vinyl which seemed lost or stolen too. In a private email he sweared he had shipped it. Discogs had suggested to him to refund me. No reaction. Three month later the vinyl arrived a my housedoor. So have a little patience more ;-]]
  2. I think its a question of costs and/or copyrights but we all can say the sound quality is 1a. To compile the original covers we have the own stock and the Internet. My problem is I did start collection in the 1960s. So every Mosaic box I buy means also more or less duplicate music in my collection. But I can live with that. ;-]]
  3. Here also just came in this week. Here are the original vinyl covers of the Mosaic box content. Had posted it in another thread allready.
  4. Yep! A great swinging big band. 👍😁 😁👍
  5. Yes these early CLEF Records are long oop. Bill Harris was IMO also a great big band trombonist (with Woody) and great also in the Charlie Ventura groups. As opposite to you I like his playing in the JATP groups. Turk Murphy went more in the traditional and swing direction. BTW this recent Mosaic box shown below is my most recent investment and its great. Containing a lot of material I dont have on vinyl contains the following vinyls
  6. Thanks for that Info. Leo was also member of the RIAS big band. Here is an example with with the "Berlin Dreamband" 1969 conducted by Stan Kenton (radiobroadcast)
  7. Tampa LP 14 / V.S.O.P. 14 - Bob Enevoldsen Quintet - rec. 1955 - Engineer: Val Valentin
  8. 👍😁 Excellent" 😁👍 - He was member of the german RIAS big band for some time.
  9. For me a 5 ***** LP. Dupree Bolton is seldom seen here. 👍😁 😁👍 Love the Kim Richmord group - these are here Richmond,Kim "Passages" K. Richmond Concert Jazz Orch. 1992 Sea Breeze Richmond,Kim Ballads 2001 CMG Records Richmond,Kim Refractions Kim Richmond Concert Jazz Orchestra 2003 Origin
  10. Is it this one I have on a german series?
  11. -,-,-,-,-,-,-,-,-,- Have it with this cover - but prefer the guitar & bass trios ;-]]
  12. Thanks! 👍 Bear Family 8 CD box - second german jazzfestival -H. Brandt group on CD # 6
  13. Excellent 😁👍 Can you list the tracks? Like also the new stars with Hans Koller.
  14. With this one naturally! ;-}}
  15. 😁👍 One of the good ones from his Fantasy recordings.
  16. Its nice to find a german Helmut Brandt fan at the 'Organissimo' forum. H. Brandt was one of the very important german jazz musicians of the Cool Era. His most famous composition is "Berlin Caling" first issued on an early Bertelsman Vinyl. My good friend Klaus Scholz (living in Berlin) and me have exchanged a lot of Brandt mateial which was never issued officially but are recordings from the german radio. We have also his official recordings which are listed below:
  17. 😁😁 Great voice at Willis' Conovers VOA Introduction
  18. Circular Records CR oo4 [NZ] - The Rodger Fox Big Band "Heavy Company" - rec. 1981
  19. Ah yes thanks again. Have the three highlighted above + the one Prestige LP 7075 which was issued under Monks name on a OJC CD Thelonious Monk / Sonny Rollins. "Saxophone Colossus" is on the wantlist and soon coming in. Difficult is the track D4 of the twofer. He seems to be issued only on an EP 1337 . There exists an LP on Bellaphone " MJQ the early years" but the track with Rollins is missing on that LP which I have. So I will decide against the twofer for that one special track. Thanks for the informative conversation. W.
  20. Thank you but its hard to read. Have looked up Discogs but no Information there from which albums these tracks are selected from. Is there more >Info in the liner notes?
