  1. Acc. to Tom Lord this LP was recorded in April 1974 Muse MR 5059 (have it) and reissued on CD Camden De-Luxe 910742. Correct is also the reissue of parts on the "32 Jazz" CD # 32217
  2. Yes such typos happen with japanese reissues
  3. Vol. 3 is not a reissue but has the same pictures?? I think you see more than I do. Have about 100 BN's. Never came to my minmd there was a rassistic intention or sublime meaning in the cover fotos. I think I will end the topic here. W.
  4. A Jim Flora kitty. Nice!
  5. Will play this one today "in memoriam" for many years good music from the group.
  6. Have a bunch of Ruby Braff CD's and like them a lot. Especially when he is playing together with Bucky Pizzarelli.
  7. At Discogs you can find a lot of russia based new labels reissueing classic jazz material without any Info on copyright or license. Discogs earns a provision on this hgrey market. It was discussed to classify all of those as "unofficial" [ as Discogs has done with some sidelabels of Fresh Sound as Gambit] but obviously noone sees through that net of new labels and companies. And a provision for the use of the platform is always welcome. Questionable IMHO.
  8. There exist 3 volumes (#1, #2, #3) with the same pictures. The interpretation above is ridiculous and artificial. There was never to my knowledge such a kind of discussion among the serious jazzfans. But it is obvious that you can bring up the strangest theories and you will find some followers. To think Blue Note has such Ideas when issueing LP's is simply sick.
  9. Some more Adderley 5tet "live"
  10. Volume 3 only issued in Japan (Promo) Blue Note DY-5805-1 - The Jazz Messengers At Cafe Bohemia Vol. 3 - rec. November 23, 1955 - Engineer: Rudy Van Gelder
