  7. FYI I enclose 2 scans of the content. The book is a collection of various publications quoted from other works as well as short articles by Cerra himself on his own webside. So you have the possibility to select for reading and Information if an artist or other topic related to jazz is your actual Interest. That seems very handy to me for things which are interesting at the moment or when listening to a certain artist https://up.picr.de/48869263zq.jpg https://up.picr.de/48869264fh.jpg Hope you can open them W.B.
  8. RCA (B & W series) PM 45694 LP Box (French reissue) - "From West Coast To East Coast" - 40 tracks out of the RCA program 1953 to 1975
  9. Thanks for your detailed Information The West Coast Vol 1 by Cerra just arrived a few days earlier. Have only looked up the content for some of the quoted artists and dont have a general view over the book. So sorry at the moment I cannot makeup a review of the content what will take also time beside listening which comes first. I plan to get Vol. 2 too. Was some time ago in touch with Mr. Cerra when helping out articles from my early Down Beats Have also the Gioia book on the shelf to look up certain questions re West Coast which arise. The big table book by Berendt (long time jazz editor as radio Baden-Baden) is also here. Best are the fotos in that huge book. Claxtons work is also here. So to sum it up these books are interesting for occasional Information for me but main time is used for music.
  10. An interesting Item showing the great composer variety Hilton Ruiz is really great. Searching for other Items undfer his name"
  11. ๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ‘ Intresting for me as Konitz fan! to save space you could adjust the size of the characters in the text. Thanks
  12. Glad I could help. Have the complete collection of Florence. Beside Shorty Rogers BB my favorite bb leader
  13. Thanks for your detailed rating of those reissue companies. I do agree that the original coverart and the liners are missing. But I dont think to rate 'Membran / The Intense Media' as 'junk'. Have many Fresh sounds too (also from their beginning viny era with replica coverart). I dont hear so much difference compared Fresh Sound with Membran. So for collecting them only for a decent jazzmusic reproduction they seems ok for me. Others my see it different. Living in Europe Fresh Sound is easy to get for me. BTW have also an AVID JATP box. All I can say very good.
  14. Thanks for your rating, Can you exyplain that a bit more. I have the Cal Thader & Horace Silver box. The sound is not bad here. I do no shootouts just to compare because sooner or later your hearing ability will not hear any changes anymore due to aging. and some original Blue notes are ridiculous in price + postage to get them here in Europe.
  15. Has someone tested this series https://www.discogs.com/label/820874-The-Intense-Media?page=1
