If you have this set, inspect it carefully. Mine arrived with two copies each of discs VI and IX, while discs IV and XI were missing. Someone needs to work on his/her understanding of Roman numerals...

Art Pepper - Promise Kept: The Complete Artists House Recordings (Omnivore 2019) I love this set. Pepper plays the blues. I have it on repeat in the car and it is on high rotation in the main system as well. There is no shortage of late Art Pepper recordings but these 6 hours are my favorite. Michael Graves' mastering job deserves extra recognition.

Lee Konitz - Subconscious-Lee (UCCO-5538) Never noticed before that there are two versions of this album with different track orders. This one follows the original 1955 Prestige release (+ one bonus track) while some OJC versions list the tracks in the chronological order of the four recording dates. I actually think the latter is more appealing.

Interesting, by coincidence I am also listening to a CD set released by "Phono Records": Never heard of this label before, probably one of these dubious labels. However, this set is great and the sound quality very nice.

Just curious, why do you still listen to this one instead of "Live at the Half Note" (assuming you have the latter in your collection as well)? Is there anything this release does better than "Live at the Half Note"? Sensational music, of course.
