  1. Great, looking forward to this!
  2. Some are, but still fun to point them out. Misspelling the artists’ names, however, is disrespectful and not trivial in my books. Theolonious? Seriously?
  3. I spend about 90 minutes daily in my car. Good opportunity to listen to music. I extra ordered laminated glass with my current car. I use the time in the car to listen to CD box sets (and to talk with my young son about the music we are listening to). For me, box sets can be a bit overwhelming and as a result I often reach for single albums when listening to music at home. That's why I listen to CD box sets in the car. I change sets about every two weeks and stream them from my mobile phone. This has become my standard way of getting familiar with a CD box set. Currently playing: Woody Shaw - The Complete Columbia Album Collection. Next in line: Miles Davis - The Complete Live at the Plugged Nickel 1965. What's your habit of listening to music in the car?
  4. Because of this thread I checked discogs and just picked up a sealed copy from my neighborhood. Makes my day.
  5. No complaints about my copy. Very good pressing and sound.
  6. I agree. And his melodic site particularly shows in his solo recordings, This one is no exception, highly recommended. A solo tour would be great!
  7. See my comments below regarding different content on CD and LP: Good news: the download code that comes with the LP is for the complete version of the album (12 tracks).
  8. Peter Brotzmann Solo - I Surrender Dear The CD has several tracks that are not available on LP. Only 8 of the 12 tracks listed on the link below are on the LP. Side A: 1-4 Side B: 10-11, 8-9 https://www.trost.at/peter-broetzmann-i-surrender-dear.html EDIT: Good news: the download code that comes with the LP is for the complete version of the album (12 tracks).
  9. Preordered a few weeks ago
  10. Count me in. Here is another example for this practice of using cover photos of a much younger musician Chet certainly did not look like that in 1982.
  11. Konitz Meets Mulligan (Pure Pleasure reissue)
  12. Rogue Art found a clever solution to reduce cover art production costs: No cover art at all.
  13. Just ordered the CD set. Curious about this MQA thing. Roon can decode MQA but I have no such material to play. I wonder if Roon will recognize this as MQA material after ripping with dBpoweramp. Edit: Well, it seems it will work according to this discussion. Should be interesting.
  14. Matthew Halsall: Gondwana Records Barbara Dennerlein: Bebab Records Joe Morris: Riti
  15. I was curious as well and did some research: According to wikipedia, Gramavision was sold to Rykodisc in 1994, which then was acquired by Warner Music Group (WMG) in 2006. According to discogs, WMG has reissued 14 albums from the Gramavision catalogue after 2006, including 7 from John Scofield. Let's hope they reissue John Carter's albums as well some day.
  16. This CD has been available since December 2017 from darktree records. It's very good.
  17. Thanks. BTW, there was also a CD version of the 14 Love Poems plus 10. I have it.
