  1. Wrong, it would help because you then could create your own activity stream that excludes the album cover sub-forum.
  2. Braxton Arista Recordings, continued. Even more enjoyable after I understood how to find the tracks in the accompanying notes (which are of great value to me).
  3. Hey, great idea!
  4. It certainly has a Joe McPhee signature. I also like it a lot.
  5. I have the Woody Shaw set on vinyl and I have not noticed any adverse effects on sound quality. The longest side is the A side with 19:28 minutes, which is nothing unusual. As mentioned earlier, opposite to the information given on the cover and on discogs etc., "Diane" is part of the D side, not of the C side. The sound (and pressing) quality of this set is very high. My only criticism is related to the use of paper inner sleeves (which I immediately replaced upon receipt of this set).
  6. The vinyl version comes with an extra track: "Diane" (13:12). Interestingly, the cover info locates this track on the C side, while it is actually part of the D side.
  7. Recently reissued Myra Melford
  8. Udo livehaftig was one of my first records when I started buying vinyl for the first time. His aunt was my music teacher in high school.
  9. Just started listening to these: First impression is excellent. Great pressing quality too.
  10. Snow in mid of April? Not good.
  11. According to this (scroll down), at Nica's place.
  12. Kronos Quartet - Black Angels. I listened to this when I witnessed the deadly accident of Ayrton Senna on TV.
  13. Not to forget the Pixies and Dead Can Dance. Those were the (university) days.... Thanks for the heads-up, Clifford. You are involved in some very interesting reissue projects.
  14. One of the very few records in my collection my wife enjoys as much as me: Winterreise with Fischer-Dieskau and Moore from this 1972 4LP Deutsche Grammphon set (which I acquired recently in mint and sealed condition for next to nothing):
