Hi Guys, I've been on an Bille aquiring mode this fall and got the Verve 10-disc box cheap on an auction ($30) and also the Tin Studio takes. I like both sets but I play the Tin much more. I really like the Tin packaging which in my view is very creative and pleasing to the eye. The difference in sound quality of the two sets are not that big. I could live with both. I guess I was expecting more from the new set and kind of thought that the 10-disc set would sound more dated and "old". I would also like to recommend the big Columbia set 1933-44. It is really great! /Shaft

Yeah I got it also just now before Christmas. I do not have the old one or the LP. This edition sound kinda "modern" in the sound. Does not bother me in any case. I love the packaging also. Great CD which I would gladly recommend. /Shaft

I've noticed this seller a while now. He is apparently moving to Italy...All his boxes and CD´s are never played (! - Why buy them in the first place?) and sealed and stored away. I don't get it. He appears to have one of everything when it comes to boxes and if he has bought all of these boxes and CDs over the years just to put them away. Can it really be so???? For me that's weird. That they are fetching top $'s are not that strange considering the OOP status and the fact that he has been going on a while (ove a thousand feedbacks) assures better dollars at sales. /Shaft

Hi! Just a word about he BN Stereo spread. A ot of the early RVG's has very very narrow stereo spread. Personallu I don't like it and have replaced for instance RVG's Hank Mobley's "Soul Station" to the old CD issue for that reason. Shaft

Yes I was hoping for better sound - especially when they put emphasis on the remastering side in their promotion. It is not a cathastrophy though so people should not be put off buying the 2-disc set! The music is great! /Shaft

Hi all, I just wanted to share my great reissued Hank Mobley aquirings this month: 1. "Another Workout" RVG - Yes finally here! Good sound and som great soft-toned playing. 2. "Popping Spanish" BN - This swings like mad and has great sound too. Very very recommended. 3. "Curtain Call" TOCJ Japan - Wow! That ballad "Darn that dream" is soooo beautiful. And Sonny Clark on piano...don't get me started Hank Mobley was the man and this month MY MAN! /Shaft
