  6. u reminded me i need 'jazz from east village' and art of improv vol 1. Yea you guys that Warne at dana point is prob of the best archival releases weve ever had. anyone recall if there was a good story about the tapes being located in the liners for that- i looked it up and it was released 2004- probably right before i stopped putting cds in giant binders, disposing of booklets
  7. hmm, i see, i just hate how you have to COMMIT to buy, before you have the ABILITY to PAY.......you need to COMMIT, then WAIT for the invoice.....you know what i mean? the anxiety period of waiting...........
  8. lol-- i dont get on board till bn-twenty something- i have the meade lux where its a harpsichord solo--- the closest record i can compare it to is songs in the key of life.
  9. Yea my dawg! yr on the ABC train too! you know who really was the #1 abc jazz guy besides creed n quincy, et al- CANDIDO.
  10. http://www.warnemarsh.info/new_page_2.htm second to bird, warne has the most insane live-ography in jazz! you know to this day I havent heard the complete Warne November 1981 Village Vanguard- its on the list!! I have a single track from that (of 5 cds worth of stuff). And its one of my favorite warne solos (sound-lee, village vanguard 11-81)-- None of you dawgs have that right, i mean i think its pretty rare-
  11. hey everybody, chewy here- do you guys de-cellophane your lps? I am sure some purists might want to leave as-is, however ive turned for example--- a yellow'd 60 yr old looking copy of dave brubeck octet, into the most mint condition looking snow white perfect print on the cover. My Cape Verdian Blues BN, also looks one million percent better peeled. And so did this- this one- hella good comp but unfortunately no kenny dorham track, but lots of other big dawgs--
  12. is jeffcrom the only guy here w/ BN-1? Mad props bro
  13. dawg........
  14. the discogs guy hasnt responded to : "hey was wondering if you still have this record for sale that you have listed.....--- is that a red flag that its good i just didnt buy and wait for invoice?
  15. not the special thing i was telling you about earlier......but i got this today, full price (15), no crazy deal- but it has rare early hank......hanks 2nd to last Dizzy session is on this. one song, "rails" has an extreme hank solo. is this the 1st issue? cause the discog says verve mgv 8357 is an unreleased lp. Dizzy Gillespie Big Band. But the material here is compiled from a few dizzy albums, it as "Caravan" from the album AFRO.....

  20. leave it to me you guys, I'm gonna go over a plan with Don Was to get these last tapes out. Lets face it, he might not even know about it. He knows they have stuff, but hes not a lifelong Blue note freak like we are, is he?

  22. im going to try n get something good on discogs and im really excited to tell you all about it (its jazz) but i cant right now even though im sure 99.9999% of you wouldn't care about getting it,but yea it might be good-
  23. ever notice how we went from the long playing record to the compact disc in like 33 years? the integrated circuit dawg- absolutely developed with back engineering tech recovered in the Roswell crashes. Ever hear of Roswell? this stuff really happened you guys. we need to stop burying our heads in the sand, two most significant events of the 1940s: Charlie Parker, and Aliens accidentally crashed their spaceship when their antigravity field was penatrated by one our experimental ultra high voltage radar systems. I dont want to veer off topic too much here, but this is really important. this is not pseudo-science, this is 70 years of firsthand accounts.
