  2. slightly, eg. "I slightly just fell off this bridge"..... i see it features Jolly on accordian, not piano-- ditto the RCA 45 ep i had from him---- he was such a good piano player-- but they wanted him on accordian?
  3. I too, no matter what wrong Don Was commits: not releasing desired BN vault material, mucho tape speed problems on the Tone Poets, et al...........the man produced Love Shack, the last great single of the 80s- you can never touch that
  4. you know what always bugged me about that album, you have Trane +Mobe together- but its far away from being Tenor Conclave II....
  5. all i have right now is two and six , but im working on it my guy........ this is more what you might be after- this is the SBD we all know and love....synced up to the VTR, on a future youtube build i'd like to be able to toggle between the aud and sbd or maybe create a custom matrix to taste, like sometimes when i wanna get a little more bobby in the mix *when i say sometimes i mean all the time
  6. that's right- Redd Foxx on 78!!!!!!!! I have a question about Colmean Hawkins now:::::::: if youre a Coleman Hawkins fan you kinda NEED the 78s huh cause a lot of that studio stuff of his isnt even issued in vintage lp counterparts- like signature. you cant get that stuff on a 1955-65 issue, no? or the other labels i have a whole folder of them. Capitol of course ohhhh Commadore!!!!! Yea yea you cant get that on vinatge record either.
  7. also got les strand plays jazz classics on the baldwin organ his 2nd lp the only one i need now its the 3rd fantasy: plays Duke Ellington
  8. guys im in a hurry rtnow ill b back later butdid i messup too bad not getting the JOHN GRAAS on the super rare rare rare ANDEX label--- art pepper, bill perkins and other wcj legends on it....but only side 2 a classical/jazz fusion suite, very composed and structured piece with sections for improv? it was 20 bux. i didnt get jimmy smith all day long-1 for ten 1500 series, so i didnt walk way w/ zero jazz classics, but....
  9. whoa whoa whoa you had at it with Don? How'd that go-- you had a shining moment to speak your piece to the BN commander in chief? You asked him to put out Tyrone Washington's trainwreck session, didn't you? Who wants to join the jazz org!
  10. LA Light Album gigantic promo poster to scale
  11. this tom harrell band feat mark turner was very new and interesting jazz like ive never heard before, is this what good new jazz sounds like- wow
  12. I can get on board that train any day!
  13. It was the new mosaic set that put em over the top
  14. ok- so the mastering came out okay on these, definetly intersted in the Hubbard but theres a ton i need to look at
  15. is there any legit connection to original club or did they just slap the name on it?
  16. oh dog, i just learned about these----- they sound good right-
  17. THIS IS BALLZ-POSITIVE THE GREATEST CANDIDO I HAVE EVER HEARD IN MY LIFE BESIDES THE TWO TIMES I SAW HIM LIVE. They close-mic'd his congas just like they would take on "Manteca"-- and the lp is mastered good, you can crank it up--- also rare bird and lee konitz to sweeten the deal.-
