  1. wow! they must of had some really good food- incredible they jammed everywhere So the govt seriously payed jazz musicians to play jazz all over world as a program to get other parts of the world warm to america via jazz music? Has anyone ever FOIA'd the stuff for this- i wonder what their intentions were

  5. if Lee had moved out of the city he'd still be alive. if he had moved to a house in Connecticut he would of been much more protected from the virus. I know theres homes certain sections of nyc but im pretty sure Lee lived in a Manhattan apartment just like most everyone does no matter who you are. you share the elevator, hallways, etc. I feel bad Lee didn't even have much of a chance given his surroundings.
  6. he was at the height of his career always unlike literally all other musicans, jazz or rock-- he never had a career "slump"- he just was always getting better and continually excellent

Can it be said Konitz is one of the few American musicans who could not just be "backed up" by europeans, but was fully compataible with collaborating with Europeans and improvising together w/ europeans as easily as he could fit in doing the same w/ american musicians- konitz and keith jarrett are the first two and only two that come to mind, though theres probably others i dont know about
