  17. i see- i thought maybe re: liberty they were " lost in the shuffle" vs given to the artists
  18. You really tie it together. Thats an interesting theory about the tapes. Isnt Jody Grind the last BN mono as well. Now I always premised that LIBERTY was to blame in this somehow, as far as Lion giving tapes goes dont they say he gave Horace Silver the, "horace live at peps"(?) tapes
  19. I always thought maybe it was gonna be a lost steve allen kinescope of monk, mobley and art farmer playing would appear-- i mean it has been mentioned elsewhere Hank did perform w/ Monk period. But I later seemed to find other things which pointed to the Steve Allen show thing. But disregarding that I have seen it mentioned that Hank performed with Monk. Is anything as far as facts or data known about this collaboration? 20. go to the fridge, like this vintage Philco and grab that bottle of Champagne you've been saving (NOT THE DISCLOSURE CHAMPAGNE) and raise a toast, for the most welcome discovery, many thanks to my dawg who graciously alerted me this morning that this thread was active: really active!! First off: who of you knew this film. was it a limited 1968 release, only to be recently re-released on dvd? Was it right in front of us the entire time? They got Cuscana to double check it, was that more ceremonial- that's no other human but Henry "Hank" Mobley son of Otis Mobley. go to the fridge, like this vintage Philco and grab that bottle of Champagne you've been saving (NOT THE DISCLOSURE CHAMPAGNE) and raise a toast, for the most welcome discovery, many thanks to my dawg who graciously alerted me this morning that this thread was active: really active!!
