  1. Ah, OK. Just how do you get free shipping to Switzerland?
  2. 23.50€ for me, free shipping! Thanks a lot, just ordered one! 23.50? How did that happen? Are you sure you didn't order the old 2CD edition?
  3. Amazon.de has it for 27,99. Cool!
  4. Damn, I missed it.
  5. Great news. I haven't ordered any imports in quite a while, but Hiroshi was always my vendor of choice.
  6. I agree, it's a really good one. One of my favorite sessions included in the Mobley Mosaic set.
  7. Hey everyone, we just added a second sample medley, this one features our electric violinist for the first time (but far from exclusively - there's other nice stuff in there, like some beautiful piano playing by Derek and of course more spacey prog goodness!). http://www.myspace.com/relocatorproject or for a high-quality mp3 download: http://www.relocator-project.com Check it out and let us know what you think!
  8. It's been a while since I posted about my band's upcoming debut album, but there's a good reason for the delay - today we have some big news! And there's a brand new sample medley available to go with them. Yes indeed, we will have more (much more!) preview material available very soon. If you're interested in our guest violinist, why don't you check out his web page for the time being: http://ovca.republika.pl/english.htm It's a bit outdated, but it features several excellent samples of his playing with his former Polish band Borderline under "Music". So let us know what you think of our little five minute appetizer medley and spread the word if you like it! And remember that a high-quality mp3 download of the medley is available from http://www.relocator-project.com!
  9. He wasn't in the band anymore. He only plays on the live improv from the last tour, not on the studio tracks.
  10. Hiromi!!
  11. Incidentally I just received several albums by this mysterious "McCoy Turner", at least according to the spines of six of his Milestone albums (current Universal reprints).

    Andrew Hill space

Can I get some comments on the recent Andrew Hill / Chico Hamilton duo album?
  13. Hi there, I'd like to get rid of quite a few CDs to make room for new stuff. Please keep in mind that I'll be posting these from Germany, so shipping costs to the US in particular would be quite high - less so within Europe and just between two and four Euros within Germany depending on the number of CDs. I'll make you a fair offer regarding shipping costs in any case, but of course I can't say for sure in advance how much it'll be for all potential destinations. I accept payment via PayPal (and via bank transfer within the EU). Any questions? Just e-mail me! 14. I got this one last week, like it quite a lot: The Miles from India album mentioned above is great, too!
  15. Excellent news!
  16. Yes, good music! The quartet is marvellous! Those "Plays" albums (by Charlie, Stu Williamson, Max Bennett...) should have been given the same treatment as the "Kenton Presents" sessions got... but Bethlehem is beyond reach for Mosaic, alas. I agree, it's great stuff. I already had the Japanese 2in1 Mariano Bethlehem set and now decided that it's about time I get the Stu Williamson 2in1 as well. The Max Bennett stuff doesn't seem quite as interesting judging from the lineup.
  17. The Patton Select is a very good choice! I imagine it's going to stay that way for a looooong time, too!
  18. Very underrated player! I got most of his albums when I was on a West Coast kick last year.
  19. Love these guys! Got the Mosaic and all the Soul Note and Timeless stuff. Always exciting music! I would really like to have that full Carnegie Hall concert on CD...
  20. LMAO! Well, they certainly shouldn't complain about low sales numbers. To re-release an album with a playtime of just over 37 minutes when there is so much material available that they could add to it is really laughable. The entirety of the "Memorial Album" is added to the RVG of "Volume 2", as bonus tracks. Well, that's at least something. Now they just have to re-reissue Vol. 1 with those remaining two tracks.
  21. Finally got this CD a couple of days ago. It's nice, but hardly spectacular. I really dislike the Chili Peppers song in its original form - what a harmonically and melodically dull choice! - and the best thing about this jazz version is how Hiromi destroys it in her solo. As for the originals, I like Sicilian Blue and the opening track quite a lot.
  22. This album is out now. Any comments so far? I haven't heard it yet.
  23. Heyho, I spent most of last week in the Netherlands recording drums for my band's debut album. It'll be an all-instrumental prog rock album featuring special guest Derek Sherinian (former keyboardist for Dream Theater, also Planet X, Platypus, Yngwie Malmsteen, Billy Idol...). It's amazing what kinds of collaborations the internet makes possible - neither Derek's involvement nor that of our Dutch drummer Frank Tinge would've happened without it. Despite working together for half a year, we first met Frank in person last Tuesday! So here's some footage of us in the studio (mostly Frank recording his tracks): We're hoping to have samples of his drumming with the actual music on top available soon. All the best, Michael
  24. Outback and Passing Ships are both great, but my favorites would be the two trio albums led by Elvin Jones and the Joe Farrell Quartet disc on CTI (hard to find, but worth tracking down).
  25. Too bad the CD is damn near impossible to find (unless you want to spend $70 on it).
