    Marion Brown

It's been two years since that post and still nothing. I like Marion's Impulse and ESP albums quite a lot and would buy a CD version of Juba Lee without thinking twice.
  2. I'd love to get my hands on this in some form. Wouldn't it fit on one CD with Moto Grosso Feio from the same session(s)?
  3. It's the only Mobley album I don't have yet. Guess I'll give it a try next year.
  4. Fearless Co-Leader?
  5. Thanks for the recommendation, sounds interesting.

    RVGs

I was really just quoting Bluerein from this thread I started: When will the next RVG and Conn batches be announced?
  7. Absolutely, plus the bonus live version of "Sugar" smokes! Speaking of which, does anyone know why they left out Gibraltar when they re-issued Sugar with that live track as a bonus? That way I'd have to buy two editions of the album to get all the material, and it's not like the disc is anywhere near full.
  8. I actually prefer the solo albums to the Jazztet stuff, they don't seem so restrained musically. It's all good, though.

    Pharoah Sanders

I like all of those. Still don't have any of these three on CD. Love In Us All came out as a regular CD in Japan about a month ago. I'll probably pick it up next year (once my self-imposed CD buying sabbatical is over). I like all of those, too. Quite different, but very enjoyable for me.
  10. This was my first taste of West Coast jazz. I love it. Their quintet disc with Lee Konitz added is fantastic, too.
  11. If you want to try more West Coast stuff, don't forget to check out "Shelly Manne and his men at the Blackhawk" (all five volumes are great). The two "at the Manne-Hole" discs are also nice.
  12. Does the Japanese CD have all tracks from the session or should I wait for an international release with bonus tracks?
  13. I'd buy an RVG of this.
  14. I've been listening to this album all morning, I think it's really good. Recommended!
  15. I think it's great. The only thing I don't get is why it says "The Complete Sessions with Lee Morgan" or something like that on the cover when three more tracks from those sessions are on the Funk Fantastique CD (and all of them together easily fit on one CD - I burned myself a CD-R ).
  16. Maybe some other edition, my CD's cover features the same artwork as this LP:
  17. Great stuff, I'll play it later today. Got it for €2.99 at the recent 2001 sale here.
  18. I got the CD from an eBay seller about half a year ago. It was really cheap, around $6 plus shipping. Great album!
  19. I'm definitely buying the Andrew Hill solo set and the Tony Williams box sounds pretty interesting, too. I hope they won't take too long finishing up the McCoy Tyner and Bobby Hutcherson Selects, they'd make a nice package for a <$200 international order (maybe even with one Mosaic Single added).
  20. Yep. And since he's in the mood for more accessible Hill, he should get Dance with Death, too.
  21. That should read Hiromi. I wonder what's going to be different about this compared to the original edition (that also came with a DVD). For some reason the upcoming CTI remasters (like Cherry) are missing from this list.
  22. Joe Farrell was one of the main reasons for me to get this set. I also like George Coleman's playing a lot, so I just had to get the whole thing.
  23. Got it today. It comes in a digipack. Haven't really listened to it yet but I feel I'll be enjoying this one a lot this week. The bonus tracks sound just as good as the original four - almost 74 minutes total playing time!
  24. Sounds like I will be holding on to my Select after all.
  25. I find it annoying that people buy stuff that's hard to get just to re-sell it when I really want to hear the music that they're just gonna keep stacked away for future re-sale.
