Thanks for this info. This involves some work for me. 😁 How many of these do I want? If just a few, Dusty Groove is cheaper net of shipping; if above a certain number (which requires calculation and navigating the clunky CDjapan website), CDjapan winds up cheaper.

My subscription just expired (long story), so I can't access the article any more. Opening the link in an "incognito"/"In Private"/etc. window/tab often works, so you could try that.

I once went to the Jazz Gallery at its original location (290 Hudson St.). It was a Frederic Rzewski solo piano concert.

I probably won't get it, since the rock/fusion doesn't really appeal, but will do some research before deciding.

I looked up the track listing on the Cherry Red site, and it's pretty eclectic. A lot of surprising (to me) rock selections. While I have a lot of the jazz selections on other recordings, there are many tracks I haven't heard. I don't rule out getting this eventually, though I will have to audition some of the unheard rock and fusion selections (which are not clear pluses).

I'm full up on "1980s live Arkestra set" recordings. Open-minded about other periods, but I can't afford* to buy all the flood of releases, so I selectively screen on Bandcamp. Oddly, I really enjoy the 1990 Mayan Temples, though. *Plus, getting old and realize that I've accumulated an absurd # of CDs and objectively don't need any more. 🤪

Very much agreed. Kudos to Sun Ra LLC and others for all the releases, but the flow has become extremely difficult/costly to keep up with. I can't afford to buy everything. Prefer a release of all unheard (by me) material to a reissue of something I already own with a couple of alternates/outtakes added.

While on the Paypal site, I did notice that they have a set of rules for "Donations" that seem more prone to levy fees.

I often use Paypal Friends and Family and it doesn't work like that. I send (say) $100, the payee gets $100, I pay exactly $100. The difference is that the money comes directly from my bank account rather than via other routes (say credit card).

Those (like me 🤪) who cling to the dying CD are gonna have to get used to the DL->CDR thing. Beyond the CJ Mosaic I've been filling in some gaps with Japanese reissues. Almost certainly in (to some extent) on this new series, though of course subject to exactly what gets released.
