    Got this one the other day, looking forward to delving into it. I am an admirer of his writing. Sauter-Finegan is sometimes too "clever" for my tastes, but only sometimes. The guy could write. No bullshit or easy popperglow from him! Recommended is the Savoy 2LP set of the late 40s Ray McKinly band. Some real treats there: Not sure, but this one sounds like a sly comment on Kenton of the time...
