  1. Bill Bruford's Earthworks. I'm listening to it now, I like it better every time I hear it. But I really wish he'd release some of the early Earthworks material. I was at one of those shows that was broadcast in Japan in the '80's.
  2. Thanks. I enjoy it! There's still the rest of the Bjork collection that I didn't comment on and the all the Deep Purple and Hendrix that I haven't watched in a while.
  3. A worthy mid-period almost Yes release.....
  4. Look like I'll be doing some shopping this month...
  5. Another strange but cool one....
  6. Probablly.... Not too happy about it either...
  7. Someday I'll get this, but Amazon wants $37! And all the shit I'm interested in comes out on Criterion, I'm getting hosed!
  8. I think I could watch this with the sound turned off. Maybe I'll spin my Anthony Braxton collection while I check it out.
  9. We'll be passing on this one....
  10. If they don't get that damned second season out soon, I'm gonna burst a blood vessel! get ready to spurt blood! No MTM season 2 likely to come out in the near future either, sales weren't high enough to warrant! I'll see if I can dig up the article....read it a few months back.... So I heard...whatta shame.
  11. concert footage, the only time I attended a Zappa show. Oh, the memories....
  12. A nostalgic look at an '80's act. Still exciting, it's cool to hear guitar harmony from guitars instead of rack mounted boxes! And...of course...he played with Zappa! And then there's that tippy tap shit, allways amazing, especially when done by one of the best.
  13. Interesting, needed more concert footage.
  14. Martin Scorsese Presents The Blues - A Musical Journey Hit or miss. I wish they would have released these individualy. It could have used more complete performances instead of snippits.
  15. Jimmy's too cool, love the guy. I remember being hip to him and hearing rumors 'bout his bro Stevie. I still have a poster from the Fast Lane, Asbury Park, NJ, 6/6/80. After the show I shook Jimmy's hand as the bouncer was getting ready to remove Kim Wilson from the bar for some remarks he made to a stunning blond....
  16. Director Lars von Trier needs mental help, but Bjork is amazing. I love the music, but I remember leaving the theatre in a real pissed off mood. For hours. A very powerful movie.
  17. Uh oh. I din't know this was out on DVD. Must buy. Must buy. Must buy.
  18. I wanted to get a closer look....you'd think they would have applied some makeup to deal with all that sweat! Sounds great (of course), looks great....and she plays a Wurlitzer electric piano too!
  19. I also recomend: Somnium - Robert Rich, 7 hour audio only DVD (plays on a normal DVD player) ambient - space music journey. Music to chill out to.
  20. La Monte Young - The Well Tuned Piano From the web site: "The Well-Tuned Piano in The Magenta Lights (87 V 10 6:43:00 PM - 87 V 11 01:07:45 AM NYC): The 6-hour 24-minute continuous performance of the Young and Zazeela collaborative masterwork videotaped on May 10, 1987 during the La Monte Young 30-Year Retrospective presented by MELA Foundation in New York City. Encoded to a single 401 minute DVD for non-stop play. Advance Preview Limited Edition - 296 proofs available. (JD002)." Cosmic and highly recomended.
  21. Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia - Live In Concert (Cinebella 2002-303) One of my fave Hindustani Classical masters on Bansuri flute (bamboo flute). Always stunning.
  22. Miss. I'll stick to the book!
  23. I bought this one because of rave reviews. Whatta mistake! Strange plot, but horrible execution. Miss!
  24. I can't name a specific board member, but it's a great hang. I am listening to more jazz these days.
