  1. I think she left it all behind for a spiritual life.
  2. The Bill Laswell Divine Light: Reconstructions & Mix Translation version of Illuminations & Love Devotion Surrender. He also turned it into a Santana album in the process!
  3. Pharoah isn't on this one, but it's a killer band with Santana, Deve Holland, Jack DeJohnette and others!
  4. Playing patriotic, yet silly looking guitars?
  5. I love his work....
  6. Oh, I'd rate all those Bjork DVDs with a zillion stars. I just didn't want to review EVERY ONE! ...because there's a lot of them!
  7. A reissue of an old video? from Amazon:
  8. They were in so much pain, they had to do it twice? Suicide is a desperate move....
  9. Oh, but watching Naked Lunch after all these years proves that it can be done. I wanna see the Mercerism angle played up - with empathy and rocks too! edited because I need a new keyboard!
  10. No way. This flick is fine; and there won't be a better one made of this book. I'd like to see one a bit more faithful to the book. A little more light on Mercerism.
  11. Buffalo '66: looks like something I should check out...
  12. You may be right, but it's still pricey.
  13. I have the director's cut. WTF, why not do it right the first time??? {you don't have to answer that, I already know the answer!}
  14. I have this on VHS (worn out) and plan to get it on DVD. How are the tour photos that are included in the domestic release? There's a buch of 'em. Herbie shows up in a few. I really wish they would have done this right and included and hour or two of unreleased footage.
  15. The early films are interesting, but the DVD isn't as interesting as I thought it would be.
  16. Not as cool as Koyaanisqatsi, not a case where it's a good idea to have a sequel.
  17. Nice, but I like the book better. Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? by Philip K. Dick should get a better film version someday.
  18. Another one I should buy.
  19. Almost forgot this one (or "How I spent New Years day 2004....") Audio only DVD, not to be confused with DVD AUDIO. http://mode.com/catalog/112feldman.html Morton Feldman - Feldman Edition 6: String Quartet No. 2 String Quartet No. 2 (1983) FLUX Quartet Tom Chiu, violin Cornelius Duffalo, violin Kenji Bunch, viola Darrett Adkins, cello Feldman's monumental String Quartet No.2 is in one unbroken movement. The FLUX Quartet performance is complete, lasting a total of 6 hours 7 minutes and 7 seconds. Available in 2 Editions: a 5-CD set OR complete and uninterrupted on 1-DVD! * It's nice to not have to change cds and the dvd sounds better. as for the listening experience, it's sorta like watching my Dad's beard grow.
  20. All star cast featuring: The Persuasions, Pat Metheny, Jaco Pastorius, Don Alias, Lyle Mays, and Michael Brecker Songs: In France They Kiss on Main Street, Edith and the King Pin, Coyote, Free Man in Paris, Goodbye Pork Pie Hat, Jaco's Solo (The High and the Mighty/Third Stone from the Sun), Dry Cleaner from Des Moines, Amelia, Pat's Solo, Hejira, Black Crow, Furry Sings the Blues, Raised on Robbery, Why Do Fools Fall in Love, Shadows and Light I hoped that they added some extras, but no such luck. Footage is marred by non-concert footage, but you do get a bit of essential footage. Hey, it DOES have Jaco, Pat, Lyle and Brecker. And it's good Brecker too....
  21. Just after the decline....notice the wreckage in the back ground.
  22. According to Amazon, it comes out on DVD on Jan. 13th, 2004. And you already have it? On vcr tape....and I was there. I don't think THEY added anything to it. If they did, that's a plus!
  23. One of the many reasons I like this film....
  24. This is a strange one. A fishing program with guys who aren't really fishermen. Matt Dillon, Dennis Hopper, Jim Jarmusch, John Lurie, Tom Waits, Robb Webb & Willem Dafoe. Six episodes. Who knows if I'll ever watch this again! I thought it would be more arty....goofy is more like it.
  25. According to Amazon, it comes out on DVD on Jan. 13th, 2004.
