  1. The third show I saw was Montrose, Foghat and Black Oak Arkansas. We missed most of the Montrose, but caught the last tune. Rock the Nation?
  2. They Only Come Out at Night was the first album I bought!
  3. Another great show. I saw a lot of ZZ in the early '80's before their techno MTV music made them very famous. I think by 1980 I was on a steady diet of Jeff Beck, Johnny Winter and ZZ Top.

    Wadada Leo Smith

I like it, but Organic Resonance - Wadada and Braxton kicks some serious booty.
  5. Now I remember...Brownsville Station opened for ZZ Top at that 1974 gig in Central Park. A nice NYC reception for a Long Island band. People were throwing shit at them.
  6. Oh, she's too cute.....
  7. Me too. I really dug Derek Trucks' playing when we saw them live in Lansing. Yeah, he's an amazing slide player.
  8. From da web site: I have the DVD and it's real good.
  9. Look ma, no hands .... oops Bet you wish you would have been the "assistant". Is it known who was, BTW? I think it's her boyfriends...she's sooooooooo cute. ....but I don't own any recordings of her music.
  10. I'd like to read it. I bet it would be interesting. I'd also like to find out what he's smoking... It looks like he's having fun. B) He did get busted with weed in NYC's Washington Sq. park a few years back.
  11. Yikes! Look at that scalp!
  12. Same here. I saw the Women and Children First & 1984 tours.
  13. His book is a good read, once you get used to his writing style.
  14. He was touring and playing 99% early VH material. I'd rather go hear him!
  15. I know someone who studied with him.
  16. Oh yez. Beck is da shitz!
  17. Hmmm....look at the calendar, Thursday is April 1st.
  18. Wow! I checked the web site and they really are touring.
  19. The Dave years were the best. But are they REALLY getting back together and touring? This is an old rumor.
  20. 2nd Mahavishnu, Central Park. Then a few weeks later, ZZ Top in Central Park. I'm pretty sure this was Summer '74.
