That was a lot of fun! But guessing Zappa quickly? It isn't exactly common knowledge that he painted at some point.

Oh hell, I should come clean. I was posting the "Miles and Coltrane" hint before I saw this post from 7/4. It was Zappa. Here's where I found it. OK, so 7/4 got the answer. ("Yeah 7/4!!!! ) PS: The second I saw 7/4's "Zappa" post, I PM-ed him real quick to delete it. But it was up there to long to let this drag on that much longer, without somebody in the end saying -- "Hey, didn't somebody already say Zappa???" I saw this before I saw the PM. Sorry. I was trying to think of a famous rock musican who paints, thought of Beefheart, but he's not that famous. Then I remembered that my friends mother was a Special Ed. teacher and Frank was one of her students. She has one of his paintings. I've never seen it.
