  2. I finally picked up a new computer (the last one wasn't quite BNBB days, but it was close!) and have discovered that streaming video actually work. I've been binge watching Bosch today.

  4. It's still better than the stuff in the awl, though.

  7. Caught this on Amazon last night. Nothing breathtakingly awesome, but a lot of fun if you're an SF nerd. Pardon me, imagineer.

  12. I decided to skip the movie tonight and play a rousing round of "spot the Volkswagen" instead... I have mixed emotions about this one. I can't help seeing all the cop shows that followed, both on film and television, that tried but couldn't come close to matching it.
  13. Continuing my trip through yesteryear...this one was a shock to me back in the seventies. I'd seen enough war movies to know the cliches, but this one didn't even have a Brooklyn accent.

  15. I had no idea there was a Bosch series on Amazon Prime. This old computer of mine can't handle streaming any more (and, apparently XP isn't a thing anymore...). I'll check it out when I get my new one.
  16. I never thought about how I got hooked on history, I'll bet this show was the reason. And you're a year older than I am...
  17. I'll confess to being a fan of the Bosch novels.
  18. I picked up the DVDs of my first ever 'favorite show', The Time Tunnel. It's hard to believe now how weird TV was able to get back in the fifties and sixties. I watched the first episode last night, and while it holds up about as well as something like this possibly could. I'll stick to one episode a day at most; I think binge watching would be a bit much with this one.
  19. Wow. I decided to go back in that thread and pick a movie from each page that I hadn't seen and felt I needed to see. At least I picked up Badlands from page one!
