  1. New: Don Byron : Ivey-Divey Willie Nelson : Outlaws & Angels
  2. Deepdiscountdvd.com was selling it for under $10 with free shipping and no tax.
  3. I joined up at yourmusic.com too. The CD/DVD selections are only $5.99, which is cheaper than 2 discs from the BMG club. (like Fats Waller and Glenn Miller Centenial Collection) I try to line up my queue with the CD/DVD sets that are priced at $5.99. Some of the box sets are cheaper too.
  4. If you click on the Woody Shaw, you can see some LPs in the background.
  5. Anyone? Did not work for me either. From the Stevehoffman site, someone mentioned the codes have not been working for their latest offer. Supposedly, it will be fixed soon.
  6. I picked it up at Best Buy with the Target ad for a price comparison. Best Buy also included a $5 gift card in the box set. So the final price was about $23.
  7. New: Kasey Chambers: Wayward Angel
  8. $200 plus
  9. Found a toll free phone number for BMG. 888-448-6227 (they said I was a preferred member, but aren't we all?)
  10. I would pick this up too, if I could ever find it, that is. I have never even SEEN this sucker, and I have been looking for about 5 years. you can thank me later! http://www.deepdiscountcd.com/index.cfm?re...bass%20clarinet $21.80 ?? For a $27.95 import. Is it that good?
  11. I thought the rule of thumb was to only play an LP once a day too. So if you want to listen to an album multiple times, play the CD-R. Someone suggested that if you play an LP without letting it REST, the grooves may still be shaking slightly, so the next play might cause more wear in the grove. Seemed reasonable to me.
  12. OK, Since that sounded like a good deal, I ordered it too.
  13. New: David Bowie : Diamond Dogs 30th Anniversary Edition (2CD) Cardigans : CD/DVD
  14. CompUSA: 100 Slimlines $20 less $10 mail-rebate 90 cdrs $9.99 FYE: 30 Fuji CDRs $9.99 less $10 mail-rebate (FREE) 48 AA batteries $9.99 less $10 mail-rebate (FREE)
  15. Yeah, DVDs are the way to go. My friend who's into Springsteen says they are already trading boots on DVD, instead of CDRs now. Personal DVD recorders can be purchased for $250 and less. People are transferring their VHS tapes to DVD.
  16. Just saw a Diana Krall DVD out too. $15 list Live At THe Montreal Jazz festival. Looked like songs from her latest CD.
  17. Shit!! You're Amoeba was cheaper than the Hollywood store. What a bargain.
  18. What type of music?
  19. With all due respect, if someone has never been to a Wal-Mart.... And Wal-Mart is one of the biggest retailers in the USA. That might be like someone who doesn't have a computer talking about Microsoft. So since you don't own a recording studio you can't talk about the sound quality of CDs, right? I think the saying would be: If you don't listen to CDs or buy them, it would difficult to talk about Sony/Columbia Corp. (or any other dominate Music company) Or: If you don't own a recording studio, it might be hard to comment about a mixing board from the dominate manufacturer. Or: If you don't listen to music, it might be difficuft to talk about the sound quality of CDs or LPs.
  20. New: Jeff Buckley :GRACE - Deluxe (2CD/DVD) Abba : Delux Gold (2CD/DVD) Tiff Merrit - Tamborine Bob Marley - Legend Delux (2cd/DVD)
  21. I thought Larry Bird said that the PACERS were supporting Artest. (Also thought he was in the top 12)
  22. That brings up a good question - Who are the whimps in the MBA?
  23. When did players start laying down on the floor and tables, instead of sitting in their chair? When I saw the video clip, I was wondering why Artest was laying down on the table? Was he hurt? Was a doctor tending to him? Maybe the commissioner should have some rules on laying around too.
  24. I don't know, was Spreewell suspended for 73 games after his choking incident? If so, then I would agree the 73 games for Artest is about right. As for the other Pacers? I couldn't figure out why O'Neal and Jackson were jumping into the fans and throwing punches.
  25. I didn't see any ass-whooping? Some wild punches. Course, he probably hit the wrong guy too. I'm not sure why Artest hit the second guy. Maybe some words were exchanged? I'm sure if this goes to court, Artest will plead that he went mental after he was shoved by Ben Wallace. Let's see, when movie stars hit people (paparazi? I can't really spell) do they get away with it? Usually in the court system, what happens? What happens in the court system when a music star shoots someone? Now you think the court system is going to do something with a basketball player? What happened with Kobe?
