Hey Conn...cool never was a US v EU thing for me just trying to lighten the atmosphere from last nights issues as I said earlier up the page "Seems a little sad that it degenerated into some anti EU thing I must admit. leaves a nasty taste in the mouth. need to stop this EU vs US rivalry" -

Except for the 25 Complete Commodore Vol 1-3 sets I still have for sale on EBAY......!!!! Joking aside I agree that that attitude. Did the industry no favours and if they were selling hot material then they deserve to pay the price as we would. A case in point for how things DO change is with the recent issues of the George Braith material via CD baby which I saw via here and snapped all 4 in a flash ......they would have taken years to appear over here and never in big shops Things change I guess and if George can market like this think how other could have in the past....think of it as an avenue for unreleased Big John Patton....sold by him and now he is dead, his family

its even worse for us Brits- record levels of functional illiteracy, poor communication skills..........can't even speak our own language! btw the yurp thing used to be a attack on the Bush pronunciation which used to make Europe sound like 'yurp' as opposed to what my family who call it u-rup.... -

I meant the EU and not the UK...and then there is the whole ....was it the portugese/italiens/vikings debate but yes the dutch were allowed to come along too! -
Sounds fun to me. he always had a healthy disrespect for the old toffs over here which was always refreshing. Hey , seeing as both he and Lonnie Smith did a Hendrix thing...they could be brought together on Blue Note for some weird retake on Think!....now would n't that groove!
-
Sure would. I wish I could travel to see that lot play. Hope someone records it on film at least for others to enjoy and remember later. It would be a shame if that did not happen for this.

Seems a little sad that it degenerated into some anti EU thing I must admit. leaves a nasty taste in the mouth. need to stop this EU vs US rivalry Especially as we stole the country ( from the original people) for you in the first place :0~ -
Oh yes I understand that and accept that we cannot be blind to the group and or Sun Ra's sexuality. Him and his music are of course influenced by who he was as a person- goes without saying My point is that the interest seemed not to be in the politics of this issue but more the nudge nudge wink wink attitude that seemed to be dominant in these threads not about the politics behind him or his music. Puerile, finger pointing and sniggering about men together in a house does not add to anything thats all.
-
Fact or fiction , I spy the increasing cult of leering at others private lives going on here. Never had an opinion one way or another about Sun Ra's music and this adds nothing to the picture. (still like the track- nuclear war though!)

One day, when I can get round to learning how to do it, I want to burn myself a CD with those six tracks on it. I just cannot imagine the rationale behind breaking up that album and issuing it as two extra bits to completely unrelated albums. MG -
The Muppets exploring music as only they could I remember watching this years and years ago and the tune stuck with me ever since......too see it again.......*sniff* made me all sentimental
