It's pretty much the same path as mine: Armstrong, the fascination with Davis, free-jazz and Don Cherry with whom I established a friendship that lasted about 20 years. I met him at Hastveda in 73, then I, together with other friends of mine, organized as part of the Jazz evenings in Pisa several concerts. he is the musician I follow most of all (along withMingus, Dolphy, Ceicl Taylor, etc.).

Ciao, I don't want to be wrong but Parkeriana in the Concert held in Oslo: Jazz Up JU 307 has a duration of approximately 2:29 Landascape LS2-919 has a duration of approximately 18:36 So if they are the same track, it means that Jazz Up is incomplete, otherwise Parkeriana has two versions Is this correct?

I have all the records concerning the two concerts held in Paris on 17-19 April (perhaps 19 is an incorrect date) and it seems to me that several tracks are different. Clark Terry was the last minute addition, because Don Cherry was supposed to play trumpet, he came to all the rehearsals, but *his* master - Mr. Ornette Coleman - decreed that if he appeared on that recording instead of coming to the rehearsal which he scheduled when he found out about the recording, that Mr. Cherry would no longer be wanted. So I called up Nat Hentoff and he said, "Oh, call Clark Terry and offer him double scale." So I did. Well I've been trying to find out for years if cherry played at the rehearsals for this record, BN says he attended the sessions but did he play or was he simply present? In the hope of receiving a definitive answer I greet everyone with great sympathy
