  1. Aggie, I'm not going anywhere. Just selling sets to help settle medical expenses... Cheers, David
  2. It's on its way to you via UPS! Thanks.
  3. Happy (belated) Birthday! My excuse: out of town, away from computer. All the best, David
  4. I woke up this morning thinking about it (and then read the thread). Very good news!
  5. Cool cat. No, I don't have one but I think that's terrific. I told a friend once about an apartment I had with a grassy area behind where deer often came. One day I was blasting some Grateful Dead, looked out the window and saw a deer family staring in, (seemingly) transfixed. My friend said, "great. just what we need. Deadhead deer."
  6. I'm grateful for the purchases thus far, and I've lowered the price on a few of the remaining sets. Trust me, I'm losing money but I need the cash. Thanks, David
  7. ...and an exterminator
  8. Curious piece. Betty's voice reminded me of Carla B. singing "Masters of War." Loved Betty's indignant tone at the end after Miles suggests an overdub.
  9. On hold for Face of the Bass.
  10. Sorry. United States only.
  11. Please note the updated list WITH ADDITIONS. Thank you.
  12. Just heard from Marilyn. She has a busy schedule over the next few months, but she'll be in California in Jan/Feb of 2009! Can't wait to see/hear her again.
  13. [quote name='paul secor' date='Mar 12 2008, 03:06 PM' post='763544' I may have heard Gayle in Buffalo in early 1968. I went to a concert where a saxophonist with a wild uncontrolled sound and style played. Didn't catch a name, but it may well have been Charles Gayle.
  14. Glad the reviewer praised Kaleidoscope, an awesome band I heard live in San Francisco, gulp, over 40 years ago.
  15. It will go out to you tomorrow from UPS. David
  16. Ok. They're on hold...
  17. Thank you. Please note the two Selects I added late yesterday (Hutch and Tyner).
  18. out of print Mosaics for sale edit: No Longer thanks!
  19. He played a couple of those tunes in his San Francisco recital on Saturday.
  20. When I saw him lead his band at North Sea in 2006, he was stunning. His abiility to excite his band into playing so well reminded me of Lionel Hampton. He will be missed.
  21. Thanks, everyone. I'll put up a list of out of prints Mosaics next week.
  22. Only the Bix remains! If you've never gotten into Frankie Trumbauer, this set will turn you around, not to mention the early Teagarden dates that fill out the set (Once again, the cost of shipping, and possible customs fee at the other end, limits the sale to United States).
