Damn it. Time to play "Unity." And here's another plug for "Vibes in Motion." I love vibes (hence the handle), and this is in my top five best vibes CDs. Ever.

Mrs. vibes and I took two weeks off and went on an 11-night cruise with stops in Italy, Greece and Turkey in the latter half of May. It was the first time I'd taken a vacation and not taken a computer or phone since 2001, and it was great. It was also our first cruise, and I really enjoyed it, despite the fact that we were less than half the age of the average passenger on the ship. I'm already thinking about where we should cruise next. That was the longest vacation I'd ever taken, and I was so disconnected from my normal life that I started to forget I had a normal life. To me, that's the best kind of vacation.

Here's another plug for DLP. I have a 67" Samsung DLP and the picture is incredible. No, you can't hang a DLP, but you will get a lot more for your money. The only other piece of advice I would have is to buy the TV that has the best screen quality to YOU. Most TVs these days are extremely reliable and will last a long time, but only you can be the judge of the picture quality that looks best to you and meets your needs. Happy shopping!

I hate cake, and by extension, I hate Ace of Cakes. Actually, I hate the show more than cake itself. Don't like the characters or the premise behind the show. I watch Food Network more than any other channel, but I'd rather sit in solitary confinement than be subjected to this show.

I like the idea of the set, but then I wonder about portability. His DVD-As were great for me because I can listen to them in my car. The HDCD-encoded CDs have been great, too...and if they included DVDs with 96/24 stereo, so much the better--I can make DVD-As from that as well. But, if there's neither CDs nor DVDs in this set, then there's no portability--a huge blow for me, since I'm rarely able to listen to music at home these days.

Thad Jones, Woody Shaw, Clifford Brown, and Dexter's "A Swingin' Affair" have all been sold.

Also, if this was going to be good yard sale fare, you live in a very different neighborhood than I do! I was actually going to invite MN residents on this board to come over and check out everything...and may still do that, depending on what's left. I wouldn't expect there to be lots of jazz fans randomly visiting yard sales looking for good stuff...not here, not anywhere.
