Sad news, indeed. As a kid, one of my first concerts was Gladys Knight & the Pips with Ray as the opener. It was at an in the round place in Cleveland called The Front Row and the folks scored seats, yes, in the front row. Got to watch Ray spin by many times that night and still remember it fondly.

And I just see that our usual, sometimes iffy sometimes spiffy, Globe Jazz Festival has been cancelled (DNC) til next year.

Board masters... Is it at all possible to have pull down topics under an existent blanket category? Just a for instance, but I'd love to see a Brazilian or even a World based sub-set so that things fall into place a bit better. Europe and France would also be deserving as well as Stoopid Music or even Pop. So much great work gets lost along the way and I do know that topics stray of course enough as it is. It is now all jammed into the 'misc music' or 'recommendations' threads. Just checking.
