I did have the main organissimo page automatically redirecting to the forum. But it isn't doing that now because the entire site is being redone. Correct.

To those who were having email issues: The problem should be resolved now. Still waiting to hear from the developer of the 'donations' plug-in as to why it isn't logging donations.

Hi friends, Yesterday I added a new donations box on the right hand side of the main forum page. I received several donations, which I really appreciate. Unfortunately the free donations plug-in I installed didn’t keep track of the individual donations or even add them to the total. Rest assured, I received them, but the plug-in didn’t reflect that fact. So I just updated to a better donations plug-in that cost $50 to initially purchase and then $20 a year to maintain. If you donated yesterday, please send me a PM with the amount and I’ll manually add it to the fund drive total, so we have an accurate count of where we are towards the $2800 goal. Thank you!

Hi friends, In light of the updated software the board is running, I’ll be moving the log-in system to email as opposed to a username based log-in. This is a security issue as user names are public information, attached to every post you make. That makes it easier for bots to brute force your password. What this means is that instead of using your username to log into the board, you’ll just use the email address you registered your account with. Since many of us have been here a LONG time, it might be time to check your user control panel profile settings and make sure the email address you registered with is still one that you have access to. If not, you should be able to change it from there. If you have any issues, let me know via a PM and I can update your email address for you. I will institute the move gradually. Right now you can log in with either your username or email, but on December 1, 2022 you will only be able to log in with your email address. Thanks!

I think I fixed it. The sandbox is a mode for testing. Turned that off. Can any other non-admin insert images? There is a size limit. Perhaps that’s the issue?

I’m working on it. I installed the donations plug-in but for some reason cannot get it to display on the main page sidebar. Trying to figure that out.

This is an old post. But it might be fun to design some new ones that are forum specific.

I’m not sure. I haven’t had time to delve into all the new features yet. I’m actually on the road, driving to Annapolis. I’m out all next week playing. But I do have two days off so I’ll have time to take a look around. I need to find a donations plug-in and get that installed. And yes it’s definitely faster. The dev removed a lot of bloat.

Hi guys, Well, the upgrade was attempted today but the server backend needs upgraded first. Waiting for my server company to do that. We'll reschedule the forum upgrade soon.

I found him in the developers section on the official Invision Board forum. He had tens of thousands of good ratings, so I believe he's trustworthy. Way better than the first guy that reached out and wanted Bitcoin only. LOL! Yeah right buddy. Are they not currently?

Hi friends, The forum will be upgraded to the new Invision software this Saturday, November 5th. I do not have an exact time yet, but during that time the board will be inaccessible. I'm guessing it will take about four hours. The gentleman I hired to do it lives in Italy, so it will probably be late East Coast time, like 2am or 3am. I'll update this thread with more info as I get it. When the board comes back up it will look quite different and wont' be themed correctly, as this current theme is incompatible with the new software. It will take me a bit to get a new theme up and running, but at least the board itself will be functional and much more secure.

Server is $225 per month so $2700 a year. I don't know where we were at; I'd have to go through my PayPal but not everyone who sent money labeled it as a forum donation. I kind of relied on the DONATION sidebar to keep track, honestly.

I found someone to do the upgrade. It will most likely be around $200. But we'll be all updated! Can't wait!

Hey folks, Well, I looked into the Donations plug-in and it said the last donations was in July, which of course was not right. I tried to edit it and all of a sudden I couldn't access it at all anymore and when trying to load the homepage, I got an error. So I just deleted it entirely. I still need to find someone that can update this forum software to the new version. We are woefully out of date by several years and that's a security risk. In fact, we've had some attacks on the server through this site in the last few days that have crippled the server. If anyone has any suggestions, I'm all ears. I need to find someone that is fluent in MySQL, databases, CPanel, and updating server backends.
