I haven't watched Dexter since season 4. I read a spoiler-heavy review of the finale that said it was so bad it invalidated the entire series -- and that they now regretted watching any Dexter episodes at all. Harsh... ... but true (except for regretting watching seasons 1 through 4). The last three seasons have been contrary to the Dexter character from the early seasons. Season 5 was a disappointment, but from season 6 on it was an entirely different show. Also, they didn't have a clue what to do with any of the supporting cast. ---- Now watching Citizen Khan.

A couple of years ago I read something about fake Tzadik CDs from Eastern Europe being sold on ebay. I was just wondering. The Japanese characters OBI with a made in the EU mention made me wonder. These must be real then. I just wonder how sophisticated counterfeits can be.

They are fakes, right? What serial numbers & logos are in the CD matrix ring? A Warner logo perhaps like the Universal logo on Universal releases? Does Warner have its own pressing plant in the EU like Universal?

You might get lucky, but if you take the Miles Davis box as an example, the only copy left at amazon discounting third party sellers costs over £400. Since the Hancock box is a large box at 34 CDs like the Miles box (53 albums, 71 CDs & 1 DVD), perhaps at most you will eventually get a reduced offering like The Perfect Miles Davis Collection (20 albums, 22 CDs). Such a set would most likely not include rarities like the Japan only releases.

From samples, the eighties pop material was so awful it's funny, but the seventies funky stuff was interesting. I primarily want to own all the acoustic material from the seventies/early eighties. At the moment I only have The Piano in my collection (I lost my copy of 2004's Live Under The Sky).

I think Round About Midnight mono only. Milestones some kind of fake stereo mix on all releases before The Complete Columbia Studio Albums Collection. Plus some of the early metal spine boxes sounded kind of harsh and loud for some of the material compared to the 2009 remasters. For example Nefertiti on the metal spine box, ESP seems closer to the sound of the Complete Columbia Albums Collection. Never liked the sound of the metal spine Milestones.

What is this, like the 7-10th time in under 20-years? From the you can't make this up.....they're not even using the mono tapes (they lost them/erased them/recorded over them).....they're mixing down to mono from a 3 channel stereo. Still happy with this?
