  1. embryo with Mal Waldron and Jimmy Jackson.
  2. Looks like a bootleg? For the sake of being a Mal completist I’ll probably get it. Two of my musical heroes but I feel the chosen compositions are a sign of disappointment to me personally. I would love to hear Rivers playing ‘out’ on Mals dark chordings.

Oh yes Both excellent Milestone records. Top notch Joe.
  4. Now that’s one hell of a Jackie McLean record. Poor Eric is among the most beautiful ballads ever played.

That’s a great line up…. But sometimes they don’t work. Very curious to hear it.
  6. im gonna play my Coltrane vinyl collection in a (kinda) chronological order coming weeks. Coltrane was my first big love and with Mal he still stands out as my big jazz hero

I am surprised there’s a record where Norman Connors plays ‘shitty’. I really enjoy his playing on most records. He’s outstanding with Sam Rivers.

Im a big fan of Joe both as leader as a sideman. All of the Blue Notes are great but my favorites would be: - Inner Urge - In n Out on Milestone: - Multiple - Tetragon - Power to the People Later Joe: - Mirror Mirror - So Near So Far - Double Rainbow

That’s a great story Peter. Must have been a wonderful experience. Yeah I think that one really stands out in the already excellent Milestone catalogue. The Craft reissue sounds terrific
  12. Thanks! Jan Swerts is a Belgian neoclassical musician with some pop influences. Beautiful music imo but definitely something different than most jazz music.
  13. Had I already said how much I love Voyage to Jericho and how happy I am with the reissue ? I see it’s up for pre order in Europe as well
  14. Sorry what am I missing here?
