  1. Just finished LP 3 for the first time now. This might become my favorite Tapscott recording. But I will give it some more spins for it might also be the enthusiasm for its arrival. But this is some insanely good music. What a fascinating musician he was. Tapscott is really Tapscott. But I could hear Fats Waller, Duke Ellington, Monk and Mingus all in the same sentence. That with a strong Afrocentric influence. This music really moves me. It's fascinating. I should probably go buy all his records and start a new blog....

    Albert Ayler

Thanks a lot. Been looking for it for a very long time!
  3. Oh yes, thank God it did and it’s good. Very, very, very good.
  4. I’ll stop complaining now and just be happy
  5. Nice trio outing with George Mraz and Al Foster. But I would go for the recent 2cd Progressive release that also includes the other session: Mal ‘81. I believe it’s still in print. https://www.amazon.de/dp/B00VGQTCFG/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?keywords=news+run+about+mal&qid=1625510759&sr=8-1 I reviewed it here: https://snake-out.blogspot.com/2021/02/1981-news-run-about-mal-mal-81.html?
  6. The recent 2021 Muzak reissue. That’s what this topic is about
  7. I can’t believe it but they really did! Very, very glad with this reissue. I’m no audiophile but this really was one of those records where the sound quality really spoiled the listening experience.
  8. SoundOhm always ships with UPS. I hate that freakin company. There’s always something going wrong with their shipments. This time is no exception. It goes back and forth between several places in NL. First date of delivery was Tuesday, then Wednesday, then Thursday and now it’s Monday….
  9. Thanks for a very interesting BFT! Enjoyed this one
  10. Band is the same as on this one: https://www.discogs.com/Sam-Rivers-Quartet-Crosscurrent-Live-At-Jazz-Unité/release/4731790 anyone familiar with that record?
  11. Yeah SoundOhm just shipped my copy as well. I really, really can’t wait to give it a spin.
  12. Just when I was about to ask hear if anybody knew when the series would be continued I discovered volume 5 on SoundOhm: Volume 5 I don't really know the other guys from the band. Anyone else does?
  13. Rip Mr. Burton Greene. And my condolences to you Clifford.
  14. Ordered my copy trough JPC.de. Might be the cheapest option for those who live in Europe? Free from any customs charge anyway.
  15. I never got the whole thing with coloured vinyl. Part from the fact that I really don’t give a damn about the color: I actually think it looks stupid.
  16. SoundOhm doesn’t reply… I am not wanting to miss this release after 6 months of waiting edit: they arrived and will start shipping them soon!
  17. Finally! Got my first shot Pfizer today. Second will be at the end of July.
  18. Ordered myself a copy of the Brilliant Circles too. Can’t believe they fixed the sound problem. This is really a good recording but the sound quality always bugged me. So this was definitely one I had to buy (though 32 euros is expensive for a single cd)
  19. In stock at Juno! Anyone got a shipping notice yet? Heard nothing from SoundOhm yet.
  20. I think Orban is a little too soft for UEFA and FIFA. Minsk is the place to be! Would make a nice preview for Qatar
  21. That’s a very, very good Billy Harper record. One of my favs!
  22. great repress! Lovely music.
  23. Great to hear!
