Ordered myself a copy of the Brilliant Circles too. Can’t believe they fixed the sound problem. This is really a good recording but the sound quality always bugged me. So this was definitely one I had to buy (though 32 euros is expensive for a single cd)

I wear a mask where it is requested: in shops and other indoor locations. Personally I don’t believe wearing masks is preventing anything the way they are used by almost everybody. I’m talking about wearing non medical disposable masks time after time after time with openings around both mouth and nose. The only way it could really attribute something is when everybody wears those medical masks with a filter. But they are way too expensive . About the vaccine: I do not really have a preference though I hear best stories about the Moderna and Pfizer. But they may really give me any of the vaccines except the Chinese. I do not think that one is really effective. If even the Chinese government acknowledges that, there must be no doubt about that!

I like this one best as well and was pleasantly surprised by Rubalcabas piano playing. I did not knew the guy… the version of Vignette is beautiful.

I have to say that the reissue is beautifully done. The extensive booklet with the beautiful photography plus the original artwork including the sheets of the compositions. And honestly: the sound is better than on my Japanese SHM cd. In this case, 27 euros is a very reasonable price for a double LP reissue.

I totally missed this but apparently some two months ago Swiss bassist Isla Eckinger died. His contributions to Mal Waldron’s albums like Free At Last, Spanish Bitch and Hard Talk were very, very good. Finally, it's my turn! Will get my first shot Moderna/Pfizer on June 24th. The second at the end of July. My wife was born one year later (1991) so she will get invited probably this week as well but we decided to wait for her, as she is pregnant. She will get her vaccination after the baby's birth in October.

Malware? Torrents? I won’t share the name of the program I use here for that is probably not allowed but it is not about torrents nor malware. You just search and then download. That’s all. Way easier than ordering and paying for that Andorran crap. But of course everybody has to know for themselves but this argument isn’t really an argument. Ah yeah that is how I do use is sometimes as well. But you do not use the PD releases for that do you? And than throw it away if it’s not your thing?

Are people seriously using YouTube for listening to music? Of course those PD boxes sound better. Everything sounds better than a YouTube video. Whatever happened with P2P downloading? That’s how I obtain music that isn’t avaible in any source. And I rather do it that way than paying money for such a crappy product with such crappy artwork and crappy sound.

Both my parents got two shots now and I must say that it feels way more comfortable visiting them now. The vaccination campaign in the Netherlands seems to finally have reached an acceptable speed. They are now somewhere at birth year 1984 so it's probably a couple of weeks for me to get my first shot as I was born in 1990.

Yeah they sound very, very good but I doubt if the stretch is making any difference. But hey I am no audiophile extremist
