  1. Cool! I also have the unofficial copy and that one doesn’t sound very good. Hope they make something great out of it.
  2. Thanks. I listened to the whole thing on Spotify and have mixed feelings that range from oh my god this is good to this sounds like the guys were having a nice little jam session. Still not sure what to think about the whole thing. Will listen some more the coming weeks.
  3. Any thoughts on this one? There’s a 3LP reissue upcoming released by Pure Pleasure. https://propermusic.com/products/nimbuscollective-liveinlotusland
  4. I’ll pick that one up for sure!
  5. Mal Waldron’s The Call with Jimmy Jackson, Eberhard Weber and Fred Braceful.
  6. My vinyl set up is in the attic room. During summer time it mostly gets too hot to spin a record with temperatures below 70 and some moderate showers today is an excellent today for finally trying out this one. What an amazing record this is. Every track with its own unique sound and awesome contributions by every band member but especially Lancaster himself and Sonny Sharrock. Superior Viaduct did a great job as this sounds excellent.
  7. Nope. Heard nothing yet
  8. Will pick up the Lancaster from a local shop today way too hot here for listening music though but looking forward to my first spin.
  9. Saw him once with the Chicago Tentet. R.I.P.
  10. Oh yes that one is great!

  12. Oh yes unfortunately it is.
  13. oh man that sweet tone. What a way to start your Sunday morning.
  14. Still waiting for it to arrive here in Europe. No pre order avaible trough Amazon.
  15. Nice! I’ve got the Two Originals cd but probably pick this one up.

    Excellent one!

They’ve got 2 which are both excellent. My favorite is : https://snake-out.blogspot.com/2021/04/1995-takeo-moriyamamal-waldron-bit-12.html?m=1 A long improvisational suite. It was very hard to obtain and was priced to high but more acceptable prices are now on Discogs: https://www.discogs.com/sell/release/12652610?ev=rb The other one is good as well but not on the same level imo. It’s also pretty hard to find and was also reissued in the Maturity series: https://snake-out.blogspot.com/2021/04/1995-maturity-3-dual.html?m=1 https://www.discogs.com/master/1571530-Mal-Waldron-Takeo-Moriyama-Dual It’s hard to find any samples or streaming. If I’d still be able to rip a cd I’d send you one to try out….

this one has been reissued recently. I love this track particularly
  19. Thanks for your enthusiasm! Put it in my Spotify playlist and will very likely end up on my wantlist. Samples sound excellent. Nice cover art too

    Goodbye Astrud

Oh dear I did not even realize she was still around! Rest in peace.

Didn’t see any topic yet dedicated to this excellent Japanese drummer. I have Eastern Plants, Smile and the 2 duo albums with Mal Waldron and I love all of them. BBE is now reissuing ‘Live at Lovely’ and must say samples sound excellent. Any thoughts on the guy?
  22. I was thinking about Jackie too. He has that filthy bluesy sound. I’d call it tough. Those intense high squeaks on Let Freedom Ring 🥰 it took me a while to click with his sound but when I did, oh man
  23. They are both great though I prefer GBG a little. Can’t say I really like the new release, just can’t get into the vocal part. The playing remains excellent.
