  1. amazing music, sound isn’t the most impressive. TP this one!!!
  2. My suggestions might not be the most realistic. I just like to dream out loud
  3. With all the gold Nimbus dug up for their recent Pan Afrikan Arkestra set one would think there might be more in the archives to make one hell of a Mosaic boxed set with only unreleased stuff. It would be great, with a nice booklet 😍
  4. Adele Sebastian - Desert Fairy Princess 🥰
  5. The Complete Muse Records of Pat Martino?
  6. I think this is the case with some of the OJCs. Also got a few Soul Note and Black Saint albums that were actually CDRs. I did not return them as I saw it as my own (misreading) mistake but was pretty annoyed anyway
  7. Thanks! Don’t think many people had the opportunity to compare.
  8. It was pressed by King records and sounds amazing. You must have the original India Navigation Clifford? Does that one also has that sound like you’re there in the studios? The interaction between Chico and Cecil is lovely
  9. So I was spinning 5X Monk 5X Lacy by Steve Lacy and Evan Parkers 'Snake Decides' and saw Joe McPhee's Tenor up for a reissue. It's probably an acquired taste and I have to be in a certain mood for it but if I am: I really like a solo saxophone record. My question to you guys: how do you feel about solo saxophone records and If you had to name that one favorite, what would it be. I'd give the ones who have difficulties picking one an expansion to a maximum of three records Thread is nog intented as a name as much as you know but trying to find out which ones everyone would pick if they really had to choose. For some inspiration the Free Jazz Collective made a nice list https://www.freejazzblog.org/2008/01/solo-sax_15.html
  10. Such a beautiful record
  11. RIP. He was great

    Joe McPhee

Great news: Superior Viaduct is going to reissue The Willisau Concert, Tenor and Black Magic Man on vinyl!
  13. I like Green. Not all of it, but quite some. Not so much into the organ stuff. My favorites would be Matador, Idle Moments, Feelin' the Spirit and Alive. I like his contributions as a sideman as well.
  14. The total is 124km. We did something like 20/25km a day. It’s amazing!
  15. Nice collections @HutchFan and @Teasing the Korean 😍 My storage solution comes from IKEA… I’d probably invest in something more beautiful some time but for now this is okay. This is my vinyl separated in two parts. So these are in the ‘music listening’ room or as my two boys call it ‘dads room’ it’s forbidden territory for my sons and for my wife if I am not around. I have some space left but its definitely limited in some aspect. Cds and boxed sets are in the living room. I sold quite some of the cds that I had as duplicate on LP. There was one closet that I have removed as 5 are enough for now. This collection probably won’t grow a lot anymore except for music that comes out exclusively on cd. Pretty funny I found both of these pictures that are from12 years ago when I was still livening with my parents. Don’t look at how I stored my vinyl back than, the horror! Music collecting has became a serious business ever since then :)
  16. That’s one review on Amazon. You started your post with: from all the reviews which indicated there are a lot of negative reviews.
  17. Wondering where all those reviews are then?
