  1. Didn't the Label M include some bonus track(s)? (I have the European digipack reissue) ubu
  2. And now let's consider the darn Cactus CDs "carelessly" - they obviously don't care about their customers in europe, anymore. Or they hope their customers are just plain stupid... It's been over one and a half years that I picked up some new BNs on or shortly after their release date - consider that frustrating! No problem at all in getting that stuff on CDR, I'm afraid! If they were NOT copy protected, I'd NOT, NEVER get them on CDR, but as things are now... ubu
  3. I have that CD, but it seems in another edition, as mine does have no alternates. Love the music, though! That Ellington tune with the Latin beat! Wow! On what label is your CD? Mine's on Proper, I picked it up for almost nothing, in some sale. It has got a nice liner essai with some photos, too, telling the story of the Blue Notes exile etc. ubu
  4. Ahem, one beer, I meant, of course -_- Yet to be outrageously serious - in such nice company I'm afraid one would be faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar from enough (enough would be about as many as there are "a"s in faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar) (btw: is she burping when that short film is cut? ) ubu
  5. Ahem, one beer, I meant, of course -_-
  6. Is this Nora Jones? If so, I want one, too! ubu
  7. A typical stupid question would be. Why my wife doesn't like Anthony Braxton's music??? That is one hell of a stupid question! It's only a girlfriend here, but hell, why don't she like Albert Ayler? ubu
  8. Boasting his post count?
  9. What is jazz1 doing here?
  10. How much music is there on the Slug's date? It's the only ESP I don't have in one or the other version. Only as much so it fits easy onto one CD? Or is there more? And who sends me a burn? B) ubu

No, I wouldn't have, and no, I don't No? Seriously? What's the story of the Kimus discs? I found out that there were six, but the last one was not released. One track (from #4, I think), was on the bonus disc of BFT #8, else, I did not know this series. Were they sort of promotional give aways? ubu
  12. When is this going to be reissued? And why will it be copy protected - and thus not bought from me... ubu
  13. That's a valid point, brownie! I am far too young to be in that same comfortable position, and the reissue practise of lots of labels is getting on my nerves (Columbia, Blue Note, Verve you name it). If they're only in it for the money, it's not too bad that others make some money, too. Of course, as far as small labels doing good work with old recordings (such as the Uptown Mingus) - the 50 year thing is really problematic. Now if there were clone labels really doing serious reissues, including complete sessions (unlike Proper, unlike Definitive), I would not hesitate too long and buy, but with things as they are now, I rather buy other music, on legitimate releases - which has the effect that my collection on pre-bebop music is pretty thin... ubu

That buying freeze of yours seems to be quite hot at times... Get the same impression from time to time (However, you'd have picked up Kimuses #3 & #5, too, for less than the prize of one hat, no?) Seems you don't know the AALY disc? ubu

Just for your information, behind DISCONFORME is hiding BLUE MOON who owns the much celebrated label FRESH SOUND. Thanks for that - I saw (on the Disconforme site), that they are distributing Lonehill. Did anyone find out if Freshsound and Disconforme are the same, fundamentally? Or just closely linked? ubu Ubu, There have been several discussions on the board about this - can't seem to find them right now. Bottom line: yes, they're very closely linked. Thanks, Hans, I faintly remember these discussions, but was not sure anymore about their linkage. Anyone: is this here good? http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&u...l=Auguf6j3o71u0 (I could get it cheap, and might go for it, if you recommend it, despite my buying freeze) ubu
  16. Congratulations anyway! ubu
  17. There isn't, as far as I know. And the next in your row of question then should be: was there ever an "official" release, in the sense that the artists got paid etc? And wouldn't there be more material around, as these recordings took place on at least three dates, as far as I remember? ubu
  18. Can someone please tell me what in the world a stupid question is? (I mean, I do understand that we are allowed only and exclusively to ask stupid questions in this thread, yet, what a stupid question actually is, I am not at all sure...) ubu
  19. What am I doing here? (What Duke composition am I referring to? )
  20. Wouldn't work be a little less bothering after a drink or two? I don't think could be bothered to work after a drink or two! would that bother your work?
  21. fast food white trash cheap meat jerking off drinking beer shoveling fast-food, you name it
  22. Dönertier! You know, I had sex (with myself, obviously) already 17 times today!! And for lunch, I ate seven Würste, but no small ones! ubu
