I've got a Brookhaven lp from 2001 ~ Everything that rises must rise. I haven't spun it in a while, although I remember thinking it was a little to "consciously experimental" for my taste. I'm heading out of town, but will throw it on when I get back and see how it smacks me now. I also got a compilation from the Oakland? based labeled entitled ~ sons of winded armies | an expel records compilation, I will check that one out again when I have access to my TT.

This set is one of those things that I want to like, but just can't get into. A lot of people with whom I share taste in music love this, hopefully some day I will "get it".

Hey if I burn bio-diesel in my 3/4 ton truck can I claim an exemption from the macho truck driver cliche. I mostly agree with what you are saying, but the funny thing is in my experience it really isn't that much fun to drive really fast in a big truck. When I use to drive a two-seater I tended to collect tickets and it might just my my advancing age rather that the truck, but the only ticket I have ever received while driving the truck was for not wearing a seatbelt.

Oh happy day! According to the post mark my records have been in the mail for an entire week. Fantabulous ~ Oliver Nelson Tenor Gladness ~ Lew Tabackin & Warne Marsh Lee Konitz with Warne Marsh Dolpy ~ The Berlin Concerts Charles Mingus ~ Mingus (a cheapo jazzman pressing that luckily does not have the constant hiss that was on the Italian Candid I had). Oh and I've got the house to my self for a few hours.

Just arrived in the mail today, I've only listened to it once through and really loving it. So far Basic #1 is the track that really stood out and put a smile on my face. Bill
