  1. I liked that! As Colinmce mentioned, early Bley - especially with Barry Altschul - would echo that vibe:
  2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JGoFjl_8Pbw The opening track of The Individualism of Gil Evans, "Time of the Barracudas", first came to mind (with Elvin on drums).
  3. A fun and a somewhat different Monk tribute (clarinet trio, lesser covered tunes ["Teo", "Shuffle Boil", "Boo Boo's Birthday", etc.)
  4. Revisting Wilbur Harden Savoy run (with Coltrane+Fuller+Flanagan). Very worthy records, all in all. Love Harden's large, soft sound. Flanagan shines as well.
  5. Yes! And marvelous original compositions as well.
  6. I'd be curious to know some of the other tracks or records that stood out for you, Larry (I kind of did a similar Farmer retrospective recently, but mostly Art as a sideman).
  7. The opening title track is fierce as well 😃! Great album.
