Yes. This will happen to me regarding the O'Day set. It will happen when I least expect it. I will have a treasure trove of new music to explore. It will be a good day. ← I purchased the Anita O'Day box so I'd have a copy before the set went OOP. I wasn't in the mood for the set when I received it. However, tonight it happened. I'm listening to the O'Day Mosaic box and enjoying the hell out of it. The more I listen to Anita the more I think of Robert Plant. I figure that Anita O'Day and Robert Plant are both blues singers. They share some common ground somewhere.

I still can't determine a sonic problem with the Stanley Turrentine Mosaic box (nor the Lou Donaldson box). I've read so much about both on these Boards. I'm hoping to have the same can't-hear-the-limitations situation regarding the Max Roach box.

I've been purchasing Mosaic sets from the back of the catalogue as my interest permits. I purchased the Anita O'Day when I wasn't in the mood for the box (before it went OOP). Unfortunately, I'm still not in the mood the O'Day (who knows why?). Some day I'll be really glad I have the Anita set. She is my second favorite female jazz singer. Tonight, however, my gut is telling me it's time to get my own copy of the Max Roach box. Just, gotta have Max.

This is one of the best series of personal pictures & commentaries I've seen from New Orleans. One guy who lived & worked in New Orleans took many photographs of the scene before, during, and after the flooding. This series of photographs personalizes the tragedy for me. It makes me feel like I was there along with this fellow taking pictures. As if he and I witnessed the streets of New Orleans from the day prior to the storm through the days following the storm. The high price of gasoline has forced me to start listening to more AC/DC. Yeah, I don't get it either. Go figure.

I used cheap-cds for many purchases about two years ago. The business provided a good service. I had no complaints. Over the last couple of years, however, I've placed all my music purchases through CDUniverse. CDUniverse has a good site, good pricing, good mail tracking options and tends to have most titles in stock at all times.
