'Ape' didn't seem like the best word of choice, to me.

My first time to hear HORACE SILVER AND THE JAZZ MESSENGERS. Play, brother Hank, play.

    March 1st RVG

I'm hearing SPEAK LIKE A CHILD for the first time (I just received the RVG in the mail). There is some tasty, tasty playing from Herbie on this set. Herbie has a wandering, classical, relaxing, interesting, awe-inspiring, jazzy style. When he is good, like this, he's very good.
  4. The site is VeriSign Secured. This makes me believe the site offers some degree of legitimacy.
  5. Housecall is a free online virus scanner created by Trend Micro. From what I know (which isn't everything), it's known to be safe, sometimes even recommended for computers that don't have an antvirus program already installed. HouseCall Abouttime.exe is not spyware. It's a 'time' program that checks the internal computer clock against an internet time server. Also, it gives the option of entering any time server that is desired if the user doesn't like the time servers that are pre-selected by the AboutTime programmer. The program is so old (1999) that I don't believe it would know how to be spyware. AboutTime I'm not sure about the ipixx.cab file. I believe it's the plugin for I-PIX files viewed on web pages. It could be harmful, I don't know. I removed the RdxIE2.cab file. I learned it is known malware. I'll investigate the DirectCD program. Thanks for any opinions offered.
  6. Ok. Here's my HijackThis log. Is there anything you recommend fixing or getting rid of? 7. Damn. I didn't want to see Arizona go to Chicago.
  8. Oooh, good choice.
  9. This Sunday morning, as I type these words, it's Ike Quebec's HEAVY SOUL spinning on my stereo. I need another cup of coffee (and more Freddie Roach). B-)
  10. Happy B-Day, friend. Damn, you're older than me.
  11. You can't log in to the 'computer' without disabling the Norton Internet Security? Or do you mean the 'internet?'
  12. Hehe... In these parts, if you don't want to trim the lawn, don't water the lawn. In just a matter of days with no water, you have no more lawn to fret over.
  13. I'm running the air-conditioner in my house, in Tucson, today. The weather forecast is for temperatures in the 80s by week's end.
  14. I believe this is not a great Select. It's not because of the Christmas music, however. The Christmas music and 'The Phantom' material on disk one are the best parts of the set.
  15. That tickles.
  16. Boston Market is in Tucson still.
  17. I have no problem with it. This would prevent people who are just browsing the band's site from seeing the majority of the 'nasty' discussions.
  18. My thought is: without a Politics Forum the nasty discussions that have been spilling to the other areas of the Board will now 'start' in other areas of the Board. These discussions will still occur, Politics Forum or not. I don't post much in the Politics Forum. People being people, however, I believe the Politics Forum needs to exist. At the same time, I believe the users of the Board need to police their own posts and keep the political and 'nasty' discussions within the Politics Forum.
  19. Thanks for the pictures, Chris. I enjoy pictures that aren't snapped by the professional media.
  20. 'Ghost Story' episodes here. I remember when the series name changed to 'Circle of Fear.'
  21. I especially enjoy the 'B' section with viola and cello.
  22. I agree completely. I like MP3s because they can be played on a computer and they are portable via an MP3 player. Otherwise, I don't like MP3s. The only reason I tolerate MP3 technology is because I know I have the original CD if so desired. An MP3 file doesn't sound, to my ears, nearly as good as a CD.
  23. Lots of discussion here. If I recall correctly, the Vee Jay sets were pulled before Mosaic expected their run to come to an end.
