  1. Foreigner's 'Dirty White Boy'
  2. I've only eaten there once, and I must admit, I really liked the food I got. But for heaven's sake, don't order the cheesecake! Talk about bland... ← To me, The Cheescake Factory is extremely overpriced, bland, generic food. For the same price as a generic Cheescake Factory meal, not to mention waiting an hour for a Cheesecake Factory table, I can venture into the foothills of Tucson and eat in a resort restaurant. The resort restaurant will feature no waiting, a French trained chef, and exquisite at-your-table service.
  3. How many Byrd/Adams sets did you have to pay for?
  4. Fry's Food Stores of Arizona. Also known as: the Arizona branch of Kroger.
  5. And I've been working myself into a mood to purchase the Lou Donaldson box.
  6. My comment is not intended as a dig against you, man. But, you gotta listen to the Elvin Jones set more than just twice. The more you listen, the better it gets.
  7. I'd rather have good weather all the time. If I have to choose, hower, I'll take the 108° in trade for the 28° every time. Make now mistake, though, Phoenix is a HOT motherfucker.
  8. 104° at 10:00AM in Tucson, Arizona!
  9. I gave up on Border's sometime during the Spring/Summer of the year 2004. The internet is my jazz source these days.
  10. Because the tunes are so damned good?
  11. Errr... could be time to see a doctor? Maybe not?
  12. My vote goes to Dr. Jonas Salk.
  13. Be careful, man. The eBay add says this Basra set features Joe Anderson. I've never heard of him. Yeah, this explains the low price tag.
  14. Thanks. Now, I gotta get this set.
  15. C'mon! Tell me more of why I need to get this set or why I don't. Feck.
  16. Yes. I've got that one. I'm eyeing the Lou Donaldson now.
  17. I haven't purchased a new Mosaic set in several weeks. I believe I'm in the mood to get my copy of the Lou Donaldson box. Tee hee hee. Lou Donaldson Mosaic Complete
  18. I play my Mosaics as if they were single sets. I look up the original album sequence at the AllMusic site then set my CD player to play the given tracks in the order of the original album. However, this can't be done with all Mosaic sets.
  19. I've seen the self-pics you've posted.......how do you know that you'll still have an interest in this stuff when you hit 85? ← I don't know. However, I hope it doesn't take THAT long for the Capitol Jazz box to reach OOP status.
  20. I purchased the Byrd/Adams box a few months ago. As a result I had no reason to be involved in the fun of purchasing when the set was moved to Last Chance. Still, it was enjoyable to watch and read the posts about the set. The set contains some major players and shows just how quickly a good set can sell when it's about to go out of print. I'll be one of the Last Chance buyers if ever the Capitol Jazz box reaches the end of its Mosaic life.
  21. I still see Michael Brecker as a young guy as well. A young guy playing saxophone with Steely Dan.
  22. If this is how my words appear to you then, yes, I agree. I apologize if I didn't present my words in a clearer manner. I'm arguing only with your guess that I'd be pissed off. You guessed incorrectly. I would not be pissed off. The remainder of my words, regarding Mosaic, were in support of why I would not be pissed off. If Mosaic did and if a single purchaser did what you presented in your example, these actions would not piss me off. You took a guess at what would piss me off. Your guess was not correct. This is the entirety of my argument.
  23. I'm arguing that your guess that I'd be pissed off is incorrect.
  24. Congratulations, man. It's a good set to have. You will enjoy it. You will enjoy it or else!
  25. I wonder if you could have used the same address as long as you made three separate orders?
