  1. Most of this thread is "extremely boring". If I was there, I'd go to the show.
  2. S.J. Watson: Before I Go To Sleep
  3. Wilco (Nels Cline on guitar, of course). LOUD!!!
  4. I'd go to see that "double bill". Sam Stone is a favorite Prine song. He also wrote a song years ago called Jesus, The Missing Years that's really good. http://www.jpshrine.org/lyrics/alphabetical_lt.html
  5. Agree with all of the above + Amazon seems to be bundling some orders together & if something is out of stock it delays the entire order. OTOH sometimes they'll send an item or two while waiting for something else in the order. Wonder if this has to do with warehouse locations??
  6. +1 for Walkin' Tuff. Great cover too.
  7. Anouk Markovits: I Am Forbidden
  8. Happy Birthday (even though Blue Train doesn't like you).
  9. Terrible officiating. Packers recover to beat Bears.
  10. But that's not (obviously) what happened. Who's the "idiot". Certainly not Isaacson or Jobs IMHO. I liked the book.
  11. The page loads strangely (at least on my computer) & one can certainly argue about the order. Nonetheless it is an interesting list.
  12. Not sure what several of the above posts have to do with Fred Hersch. FWIW, I like some of his piano CD's, others I can live without. However "extremely boring" is not my take.
  13. No turntable, so I'd like to see a bunch of old Fontana & Bee Hive LP's released on CD.
  14. Brewers reach .500 for first time since April. Probably too little too late, but at least they're not just phoning it in.
  15. Excellent album!!
  16. OMG, I agree with Dan.
  17. I might actually buy this!!
  18. Facebook is useless for me. Guess I'm too old.
  19. Gunther Schuller: Early Jazz
  20. Francis Davis vs. Stanley Crouch - tough choice (for me)
  21. Ick (the 70's) for me.
  22. Nice. Accessible to all.
  23. I've always preferred the Redd / McLean.
