  1. Good one Joe. Anyway more thoughts on the album?
  2. Pat is actually 50, not 51. He turned 50 in August.
  3. remember Jim, people like me would have to use such access first
  4. interesting article. I'll have to go listen to that Wes solo.
  5. what a nice obit for Jimmy, really from the soul.
  6. yep, my Chambers is a white box too..... only have 3 selects, just get what interests me.
  7. to Jim, SS1, anyone who has heard it....... did anyone notice a sonic difference due to the fact they were using the new, digital B-3's? compared to the thinness of the XB-3 I couldn't hear much difference from the original.
  8. thought it did.
  9. Joey's trumpet looks just like Miles'
  10. I really love Jimmy's solo on the title track. Anyone notice a slight cover design similarity to "Prayer Meetin'" on this disc?
  11. thats gotta be Jimmy, without a doubt.
  12. its really an excellent album and way to end a career.
  13. both of them play great, you won't be dissapointed Jim. Jimmy plays a little out on the title track, his solo entrance is classic J.O.S.
  14. anybody else get this?
  15. theres plenty of studio chatter on "Legacy" with Joey D. and Jimmy.
  16. yep. its nice to hear an album where someone was in top form before they died.
  17. well, I just got it, and I have to say for me, its a very emotionally touching album, in lieu of Jimmy's passing. Joey plays great, Jimmy plays great too, I feel its some of his best playing in years. Great funky take of "I Got My Mojo Workin" and a Latin "Back at The Chicken Shack" which injects new life into it. Joey does play piano on some cuts, and keyboards (Corcovado) but its tasteful.
  18. yeah "The Chicken Cow" is pretty creative.
  19. heard he played my neck of the woods
  20. really? Wesley was used as a subject of a class? interesting. What kind of messages did he leave?
  21. ever hear the music of this cornball? He was a 350+ pound schizophrenic who had such songs as "Suck a Pitbull's ****" and "I Whupped Batman's Ass". The remarkable thing is that every one of this guy's tracks has the same preset keyboard rhythm, on over apparently 30 self produced albums.
  22. do they do imports too?
  23. Michael Franks and Keiko Matsui. I love the 2 CD Rhino anthology and "A Rainy Night in Tokyo". Steve Gadd, ooooh
  24. how are the Dexter BN's on my list? I've really taken to him hearing disc 1 of the Select.
