  1. Reminds me of Commodore 1541 Floppy Drive music... You paid millions for your 1541?!? My parents did! (P.S. to add something almost on-topic: had two CT scans. I'm glad such machines do exist.)

  8. Three replies already and no "glad I use Linux/Apple"?!
  9. Noj's post reminds me of something Feynman said (hope this qualifies as on-topic). Here's an excerpt:
  10. Download never commences, second button takes me to upload screen. Whazzupwidat? Bottom of page: Click "Download" button.
  11. Hm, with the addition of a CD-R copy, two individuals are able to listen to the music at different locations at the same time. I guess this can be compared with a single user software license: a single user license allows the license owner to install and run the software on one computer. If I want to be able to run the software on a second machine of mine (not even on a friend's and *spending* money to do so is also involved here - second computer with all its devices) I'd have to buy another license.
  12. I'm innocent! I thought they were home videos. Can I keep the VHS dubs I made for the car?
  13. I think this is from the "Joyful Noise' movie. Thanks. Frank S., "Something" Deliah Smith's Cookery course: Kate Bush The Dr. Hook Special on funny choreographies: Kate Bush

  15. Jaco P in Montreal '82 Where's this Sun Ra video been taken from?
  16. Well, that's what I was told by my high-end audio dealer. Just thought I'd mention it here. O.K., did your dealer offer some information as to where and what the dangers are?
  17. Are you talking about the CD side or the DVD side? I always figured the CD side of a DualDisc would play on any CD player; is that not correct? Apparently not, it seems they might be harmful to some CD players; that's why audio gear manufacturers like Mark Levinson and Marantz are warning against dualdiscs. To say DualDiscs "might be harmful to some CD players" is not right, I think (unless there are more issues than the one quoted below). Doesn't sound that risky to me. I'd throw DualDiscs in my Marantz units any day.
  18. Thanks for posting this info! Bill Laswell on MLITBOG:
  19. What can one learn in this thread?
  20. As blah as these "I don't like it, do you like it?" discussions?
  21. Sequitur. Thank you for treating Latin (even if it is U.S. Latin) with the respect it deserves - or leave it alone.
  22. He would have made the Thriller album instead of Michael Jackson.
