    Hello, i really do like those Bennie Green Blue Note Sides, but which of his Recordings for other Labels would you recommend ? (looking for vinyl only) Many thanks for your feedback !
  5. Just recieved the album, i bought only 1 week ago on ebay: Bobby Timmons, Soul Time, orig Riverside Mono very recommended, really nice
  6. "Feelin the Spirit" - it's so wonderful and soulful but i think he has also some great funky groove sides rec for blue note like "alive" or "carryin on" or "live at the lighthouse"... also very fine the japan only release "matador"

  18. BTW, the store Ludwig Beck in Munich (Marienplatz) where this CD comes from has a few dozen TOCJs (Blue Note Works) in stock, at very attractive prices (14-23 Euro). The price on that tag is in german Marks (46DM=23 Euro). I haven't seen any title from your wishlist though. http://www.onlybeck.de/index.html (online store is down currently) ... got that one already ! but thanks a lot ! really funny - just yesterday i have been at beck right here in munich ! they have about 10 japan tocjs left - i have bought a babyface willette cd *face to face* in sealed conditon with obi of course... really nice they have also left a fine george braith cd called soul stream in sealed conditon ! thanks

  20. oh yes i am - hello to hamburg from munich collecting japan blue note lps an tocj cds (with jewel cases) but i do like the japan BN 65 anniversary , don't you ? ... maybe not that good as the early king bn issues but such good as the toshiba releases later tom

  23. i would say it is a good one ! not for the (hard) bop jazz lovers but for the ones who are looking for groovy funky jazz ... kind of a rare groove record
  24. hello vic, at the moment you really can get high prices for those blue note lps. if the condition is about near mint you will easily get 130 US$ for each record ! so if you sell them you would be about 400 $ more rich i am collecting some blue note lps and would be interesting in the donald byrd lp "off the races" - in case you don't want it anymore .... thanks
