  1. Trying a Thelonious Monk Belgian Ale in my Belgian bier stein tonight!
  2. If you watch any of the national news programs or channels, it's been difficult to avoid this case over the past 3 yrs. This one has been *the* case that's been talked about for a while now, maybe more so than the Barry Bonds trial.
  3. I thought I was the only one who heard it this way! Guess I'm not alone - the first google image that comes up with that word is:
  4. How Free for All can keep his audience on its toes:
  5. Let's see: Giants' record: 48-37, 1st place in NL West Astros' record: 29-56, last place in all of baseball I don't have much sympathy for you, GoodSpeak.
  6. Good read - and impressive on Malone's part! I didn't realize Scofield's new album was already out, it's not even mentioned on Sco's website. Nice to see him in a quartet setting again.
  7. Happy Birthday, Ro-Beer!!!
  8. It offends me that you've apparently offended someone!
  9. Happy Birthday, Phil!
  10. Happy late Birthday!
  11. Oh man, I remember those days - Mark Aguirre, Rolando Blackman. Adrian Dantley. Some good ball back then.
  12. Heretic!
  13. Way to go Mavericks! The better TEAM certainly won the championship. Miami may have a better collection of talent, but that don't matter if they don't have heart or chemistry. (said as someone who generally likes Dwyane Wade, and was impressed by Chris Bosh and Chalmers).
  14. :tup Way to go Shawn. Go get 'em in L.A.!
  15. I like that album cover, though it's certainly not "dark" like I'd expect. October 4th in Austin. Hmmm...Tuesday night, that part sucks.
  16. Going to miss your posts here, Shawn. You've got friends out here that care about you. And you have repaid friendship and camaraderie, whether you realize it or not. Like Paul, this board helped see me through my divorce in 2004, and some depression afterward. It's a great group of people here that supported and offered energy that I didn't have enough of. One thing I've come to slowly realize as I've gotten a little older is that my life isn't so much about accomplishments and goals as it is about the relationships I have, and how special they are to me. You're a part of us, and I expect you back when you're ready.
  17. Well, you're part of this little online community... and I'm sure I'm not the only one that's glad you're here. Thanks for all the great music recommendations. Hang in there, man. Late to this thread, but next time I'm in Austin and have some time I'd like to buy ya a beer. I've truly enjoyed what you've brought to this board - music wise and other. I've bought Mosaics from you, and learned about alot of music from your posts that I'd have never explored otherwise. Non-illegitimus carborundum.
