  1. Peter Gabriel - i/o (bright side mix)
  2. Rolling Stones - Brussels Affair ...I forget how good this album is.
  3. Glad you got to meet up! I walked by the Bimhuis last fall, it's an impressive place!
  4. Yeah, I saw him here in Phoenix on Tuesday as well. It was a fantastic show IMO. One review I read said the 2nd mic was a condenser microphone, another described it as a vintage mic "slathered in distortion". It definitely gave his voice a different sound, which I thought suited those tracks well. Here's a great live in studio recording that shows the use of each microphone.
  5. Coyote pup in my yard, Carefree AZ 11 Jul 24
  6. The Flatirons, Boulder Co 5 July 24
  7. I just caved and ordered this from Amazon, $49. Despite having much of the Bern set on the Heavy Horses box, my FOMO just kicked in.
  8. Sunset, Carefree AZ 24 Jun 24
  9. Yeah, they are. This is the only vinyl version of it though (I think). I don't have the Passion Play box, it goes for stupid money these days ($300 on discogs right now, same on Amazon). And outside of the Chateau tracks, there's nothing else on the box other than the album itself, at least on CD.
  10. Jethro Tull - The Chateau D’Herouville Sessions 1972
  11. Carole Dawn Reinhart - Glanzvolle Trompetenklange (she autographed this for me in 1982 when I was living in Wiesbaden, kinda cool!)
  12. Agree 100%. That's an amazing album. I wish he hadn't withdrawn from music, and had been more prolific, but it clearly wasn't something he wanted.
  13. He's playing here in Phoenix on Sunday night, tempted to go see him again. I saw him about 2 months ago in Austin (he plays at the Continental Club there every Tuesday when he's not on the road), and it was fantastic.
  14. It is only available in the Dire Straits Live 78-92 box at least for now. That box retailed for $59, and is available in your neck of the woods on Bullmoose's website for $54. It compiles all of their officially released live albums, plus this previously unreleased one. I think it's a good value. I like their live albums, but I'm not sure they are quite as good as their studio material.
  15. This thread seems to really be for any non-jazz music that people are listening to, despite the thread title...
  16. Very good - the album itself is great, and the extra disc has a couple of instrumentals, remixes, live tracks, and covers - pretty much what you'd expect, but it sounds good and the music is solid.
